Neural DSP Nano Cortex Compact Digital Effects Processor with Neural Capture Technology
Sells separately for $569.00The Neural DSP Nano Cortex marks a milestone in amp and effect processing, distilling the industry-leading sound of the Quad Cortex into a pedal that fits in the palm of your hand. Weighing in at under two pounds, this comprehensive guitar and bass processor pedal provides you with the same studio-level sounds as its larger sibling. Of course, the Nano Cortex also features Neural DSP’s signature Neural Capture technology and an XLR combo jack to create spot-on digital copies of your existing gear — you can also download countless user- and artist-created captures by wirelessly connecting via Bluetooth to the Cortex Cloud app, as the Nano Cortex offers 25 Factory Neural Captures plus up to 256 user Capture slots, 256 user IR slots, and 64 preset slots to swap between. Once you’ve decked your Nano Cortex out with the amps, cabs, and effects of your dreams, the Nano Cortex supplies a straightforward and stompbox-like workflow thanks to its dual encoder footswitches, which can be turned like a knob to navigate 25 Neural Capture slots on the left footswitch and five of your favorite IRs on the right footswitch. Moreover, a quick stomp on these switches gives you access to four Presets in the default 4-Preset Mode. Preset changes have a minimal gap (about 60 ms), but delay and reverb trails continue seamlessly. You also get a flexible effects section and tactile knob-per-function global controls. Wrap it all up with USB-C audio interface functionality, an EXP/MIDI input, and enhanced editing/control features via the Cortex Cloud app, and the Nano Cortex represents a truly game-changing revolution in the world of pedal-based processing.
Dunlop XPND Expression Pedal for Neural DSP Quad Cortex - Gray, Sweetwater Exclusive
Sells separately for $189.99To maximize the potential of your Neural DSP Quad Cortex, you need the Dunlop XPND expression pedal, available in a limited-edition finish only at Sweetwater. The Dunlop XPND is matched to the Quad Cortex’s exact response, so the sweep your foot makes is the sweep your rig receives. From volume swells to wah — any assignable parameter — the XPND tracks accurately from heel to toe, with no dead zone at the start of travel and no sudden jump at the end. Likewise, a toe switch under the front of the rocker engages and disengages effects with on/off modes, so you can drop a block in or out of your chain mid-phrase. Constructed with an all-metal rocker and base to withstand daily use, gigging, and tour cycles, two TRS cables are all you need to get the XPND running. Sweetwater's guitarists keep the XPND underfoot because its Quad Cortex-matched calibration ensures a useful range across the whole sweep rather than the last inch of travel. Whether you utilize your Quad Cortex for practice, studio work, performance, or a combination of the three, when you plug an XPND into your Quad Cortex, you unlock a whole new dimension of functionality.
