Exclusive DWGS waveforms from Korg's classic DW-8000 reproduce a broad collection of imitative sounds that are traditionally difficult to reproduce on an analog synthesizer. An 8-band vocoder yields all kinds of crazy vocal effects. The uber-portable microKORG S synthesizer/vocoder can run from a power supply or six AA batteries.

The microKORG S's built-in 2.1 speaker system delivers top-notch sound without unsightly speaker holes. These speakers take the microKORG S to a whole new level of portability, with no speakers, monitors, or other connections required. Just pop in six AA batteries, and you're good to go! Korg updated this synthesizer/vocoder with a white panel and light wood ends for a killer new look. And the number of banks has doubled since the last iteration of the microKORG, from two to four, with an additional 64 sounds.
8-band vocoder offers cool vocal effectsThe microKORG S also includes an 8-band vocoder with many advanced features. You can capture and freeze the formants of your voice, and then play it across the keyboard, or shift the formant frequency to make your voice sound male, female, like a child, or just plain wacky! Best of all, the microKORG S comes with its own microphone, so you can start having fun right away. Combine all of this with four filter modes, three types of modulation effects (chorus/flanger, phaser, ensemble), three types of delay effects (stereo, cross, L/R), and a 2-band EQ, and you have all the tools you need to make driving leads that cut through your mix or lush pads that take your audience to synthesis heaven.
