Reviews

The best.
I have gone through quite a few microphone stands in my time. I own quite a few very heavy microphones as well from ribbon microphones to tube microphones.
The stand beats all stands that I have used. I have it extended to its full extension which even looks peculiar, but it holds the microphone and there's no tilt.
Well, worth every penny. The clutch is amazing. The design is flawless. All walking mechanisms are so well designed and heavy duty and feel great to the touch. Not to mention, it's a beautiful stand.

Excellent Mic Stand
I was in the market for a mic stand and a friend highly recommended Latch Lake; couldn't be more happy with the purchase. Indispensable in the home studio, purchased some extra short booms for additional mics. The base is sturdy enough to have the large boom fully extended and still feel stable. All the joints are rigid and very easy to manipulate the mic angle. Extremely satisfied with this purchase and when I need to expand will definitely stick with Latch Lake.

An investment in the future!
I've got two Shure KSM32s mounted on a stereo bar above my drum kit. About 7' high and 90 degree boom extended about 4.5' out.... no big deal! Do you need this stand? Maybe not for most applications. If you need stereo LDCs (or in my case stereo medium-diaphram condensers) mounted on a single, hassle-free stand, YES you do need this.

The purchase cost is high, but I won't be thinking of that when I hand my pair of MicKings to my grandchildren.
Very high quality, heavy duty music stand
I wanted the best of the best when it comes to mic stands so when I found Latch Lake, I was stoked. I bought my stand about 2 weeks ago. I am very impressed by the build quality. This stand is no joke, it is all metal and very heavy. It's honestly more stand than I needed, but I'm happy about that haha. If you are in need of a serious mic stand that will last you a lifetime, get this one.

Hilariously Sturdy
Wow. I bought this to hold occasionally hold an AEA A440 (heavy mic), and other times a Telefunken ELA-M 251.

I set it up today and it is SO sturdy. All I could do was laugh! The two wheels are a great addition as it's VERY hard to lift straight up with a mic on it. I love it.

It's not cheap, but for one it's less expensive than a repair would be if another stand gave out - but the peace of mind is worth something too. It's an investment that can really last your entire career, it's built so well.

Absolutely no fear of a mic coming down anymore. Would trust this stand with any mic, any day.
