Class D Klark Teknik power amplifier provides high output and low weight

A decade ago, if you've have told anyone here at Sweetwater that we'd someday carry a 3,000-watt, 18" powered subwoofer weighing only about 100 lbs., we probably would have laughed out loud. But here it is, the Turbosound iQ18B, and it's an amazing way to beef up your live sound rig. Add to that the fact that the iQ18B is about 2' in any dimension and that it's got integrated castors on back (so it still sits flat) and you've got yourself one truly portable workhorse sub.

Ultranet technology makes advanced integration with the rest of your gear easy

Now let's focus on the technological side of the Turbosound iQ18B. The iQ18B features Ultranet communications connectivity via standard Cat 5 ethernet cable, which allows you to send digital signal to and from your Ultranet equipped mixer for maximum sound quality. If you're already familiar with Ultranet, then you already know how powerful and easy to use it is. If not, call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for a full explanation. On top of that, the iQ18B includes Klark Teknik digital signal processing, which provides total control over your sound, including extremely cool speaker emulation.

Flexible enough for live sound professionals, Durable enough for life on the road

Urtranet connectivity isn't the only thing that makes the Turbosound iQ18B an extremely flexible live sound tool. A full-featured LCD interface and USB connectivity for software-based configuration make that aspect of the iQ18B totally easy to use. On an even more practical side, you get things like an integrated 36mm (1.417") pole mount and Neutrik powerCON connectors to make configuring your iQ18B powered subwoofer with other gear a breeze. Top it off with a rugged powder coated grille and sealed birch plywood enclosure, and you can take your iQ18B on the road, worry free.

wow

We recently purchased a pair of these subs with the guidance of Geoff Allen. I wasn't sure about them because I had never really heard of Turbosound enclosures. I was leaning more toward the Yamaha or JBL 18" subs but man and I'm glad I took Geoff's advice. These things thump hard. and forget about trying to slide these subs on the floor. The rubber feet on the bottom of the subs are like magnets that stick to everything. Jigsaw Jane loves these subs!

Plug and play, wall shaking ease!

My Sweetwater salesrep recommended this sub for our gymnasium and I couldn't be more pleased. We used it for our annual Christmas dessert theatre and it added tremendous fullness and dimension to the sound. Lots of compliments. Even with the single unit (should have two), the sound is awesome! No special set up required for connecting to our board. Just plug it in to an aux and go. That it's on rollers made stowing it after the event especially easy. Can't be more satisfied.

Excellent Value

Very impressed. Excellent sound quality. It even has a DSP emulation for my JBL tops. They are loud and provide that right amount of thump!

Great subs!

We ordered two of these for a church youth building. The room they are in is a basketball court size room. We are using them for both DJ and live bands. These replaced two dual 15" Peavey subs and I can honestly say these two subs completely blow away what we were using. The bass is clean, clear, deep, and can get LOUD! I have run them for hours at a time and never got any distortion. We are using the ultranet port to run them and it works perfectly. We could not be any happier!
