Stand Mount Your Gear with Total Flexibility

Triad-Orbit's iOrbit stand adapter makes it easy to mount your tablet or smartphone to your mic stand. Equipped with a sturdy polymer frame that you can clamp down on in a range of widths, the iOrbit supports any tablet or smartphone model. When it comes to general flexibility, Sweetwater engineers are huge fans of Triad-Orbit stands, and the iOrbit is designed to attach to Triad-Orbit's snap-on connectors. If you're planning on using the iOrbit with a conventional mic stand, no need to worry. They've included an IO-C Quick Change Coupler so you can also attach it to standard 5/8" mic stand threading.

Quick-Change Convenience to Any Stand or Surface

Turn any stand, truss or tabletop into a Triad-Orbit Quick-Change mounting system, with this Triad-Orbit IO-C Mounting Clamp. The jaws open up to 1.97" to clamp onto any pole or flat surface - tighten the sturdy mechanism down, and you're ready to add Triad-Orbit IO-equipped boom arms, tablet holders and other accessories. Musicians and engineers at Sweetwater love the flexibility and convenience of Triad-Orbit's Quick-Change coupling system, and you can add it to virtually any mic stand, speaker stand, lighting truss or tabletop with this Triad-Orbit IO-C Mounting Clamp.

A life saver for voice over artists
Nearly a year ago, I upgraded my voice over studio to the Swedish import Isovox 2. Admittedly, the interior of the Isovox 2 does not provide enough shelf space to house a USB interface so that it can be attached to a very close by, silent-running laptop to record audio using a "punch and roll," on-the-fly editing technique. To solve the interface shelving problem, I just recently upgraded that issue from a mangled coat hanger at the bottom of the speaker tripod to the Triad iOrbit tablet and smartphone holder. Admittedly, the Triad-Orbit advanced stand system is not designed to hold an audio interface. I get that. The lips that are designed to hold a table or smart phone in place are not high enough, of course, to grip the top of the interface. That said, it does provide a much more stable shelf on which to rest the interface. I recently learned that Isovox 2 recommends using velcro strips to hang the interface on the bottom of the base plate of the Isovox 2. I still may add those velcro strips to the iOrbit shelf to make an even more stable installation.

Second Time Around...
I bought my first real 6-string...no wait, that was Bryan Adams, not me.

I purchased my first iPad holder from Sweetwater a little over 2 years ago, and recently received my 2nd from Sweetwater just this week. I bought another holder to try a different mounting approach on my keyboard stand for my 17" touchscreen monitor. I use the touchscreen to control my laptop while performing or rehearsing, and while I do have the Triad laptop table, I wanted to see if I could get a stable, and integrated look to mounting the monitor.

NOTE: I have been using the Synergy Series IO-Equipped Savior clamp with adjustable jaws vs. the clamp that is included in this kit because the included clamp's fixed-position mounting stem cannot achieve a 90-degree mounting angle without adding another Triad accessory between the clamp and the iPad holder. Mounting with the IO-equipped allows me to get close to a 90-degree mount, but the jaws don't quite get all of the bar to grip onto; I may need to buy the larger version to get that stability with the IO-Equipped series.

I point out the areas of comparison in the attached photos - Photo 1 may not be the most optimal perspective, but it's a little challenging to hold these together in such a way that I can show the slight difference in the clamp end gap where the iPad (or other item) would sit; Photo 2 shows the difference in the design of the frame thickness. Also evident in this photo is the relative heights of the clamps on each end.

You get what you pay for
I won't be overly wordy here, but I'll just say that this tablet holder is by FAR the greatest I've ever owned. Worth every penny and the universal ball & socket joint ensures nearly every angle as a possibility. I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and it's HUGE, but this holder is plenty big enough.
great hardware
This holder is top quality. It holds my 12.9" iPad very securely to my mic stand. It's not cheap or flimsey. I'm satisfied with the purchase. Would buy again.
a great hardware design
I needed a flexible way to mount a microphone to my home studio wall. I found several pieces of specialized kit at local and on-line music stores but those solutions all had severe limitations. On Sweetwater I came across Triad-Orbit hardware. The product is so advanced it's difficult at first to understand what parts are needed. Sweetwater staff helped me figure out which parts were needed. I'm very satisfied with the result. Note: Triad-Orbit is designed for a lifetime of use also the price seems high, but one thing I found is it's better to pay more out-front one time than get cheap stuff that wears out early that you need to constantly fuss with.
