We've been gradually replacing pieces of a 40-year-old church sound system, and this was the latest piece. I expected that with the DSP, we could improve the sound of the old speakers, to hold us over until we can replace them -- but I am still shocked at how effective the EQ has been. Being able to do some basic tuning with pink noise and an iPhone FFT spectrum analyzer app (I use AudioTools by Studio Six) makes a world of difference. This series of amps is a lot of bang for the buck, not having to buy a separate processor to get some DSP into the system. One small note: the cooling fan is a little loud and has a tone to it (not just pink noise), but ours is in a sound room, so it's not a problem.

As expected, Crown does a great job with performance, quality, and value. Totally worth it to know that this will work reliably for a long time. Not my first Crown amp for a system like this, and it won't be my last!

This is my second 1002. I drive high Freq. Horns with them . Very clean when you cross em over at the sweet-spot. Hey Crowns do what they are supposed to. Crank!!!

Quiet amp with enough power to drive a couple of jbl jrx215 stage monitors and works well in my home music room at low volume. It has steel reinforced ears and is fine in rack without rear support.

Not using DSP currently, but nice to have if I need it in the future.

Only negative was the fit on the power cord. It did not power up the first time I tried and I had to play with the cord to get a good fit and connection.

Made in China unfortunately, so we"ll just have to see how well it holds up. Nice amp for the price.

I own two of these bought from the retail sore owned by the company that also owns Sweetwater. The amps are now sitting on a shelf after performing poorly at subwoofer frequencies. This is a well documented issue but I didn't know about it untill after my purchase.
