Why Canare Star Quad wire matters
Canare Star Quad wire uses a unique 4-conductor configuration — two for the positive voltage and two for the negative — spiraled together and enclosed in magnetic and electrostatic shielding, which help mitigate the propagation of interference. In terms of noise-rejection, Star Quad wire outperforms standard 2-core wire, particularly over long cable runs, due to the increased self-canceling effect of having opposite cores in a cross formation wired in parallel. Essentially, this reduces the impact of the proximity of an interference source on the cable, because rejection is multi-directional.
