Richter-originated Wogglebug Complex Random Voltage Generator
Grant Richter is the brains behind the original Wogglebug random voltage generator, and it was a beautiful instrument in its original form. But Make Noise has redesigned Richter's creation with some powerful additions, including Influence In to the Ring Mod circuit, a random gate burst function, and direct injection of signal by way of the Ego In. Make Noise also put the Cluster circuit through a redesign, renaming it "Ego/Id" balance. The result is the most musical and playable random generator available — a unique Wogglebug that will become your synth's "Id monster."

Ego vs. Id: the struggle for control
Like two of the three psychic elements involved in Freud's theoretically universal internal human struggle, the changing balance of control between the Wogglebug's Ego and Id can generate unpredictable results — and in random voltage generation, that's a good thing! The Wogglebug lets you input either external CV or audio rate signals into the Ego jack. With signal applied, the Ego/id balance control lets you explore those sonic uncertainties, and with no signal the Ego/Id balance control sets the range of probable values generated by the Stepped random source.
Two CV outputs, disturb button, and seven random signals
The Wogglebug offers two VCOs — Smooth and Woggle — and each has a dedicated control over smoothness, in a range from 0V-10V (speed control and woggle control, respectively). But they aren't the only simultaneously accessible signals; the Wogglebug can generate seven at once — smooth VCO, woggle VCO, ring mod, stepped, smooth, woggle, and (gate) burst. Plus, you get direct control of the Sample and Hold circuit via the disturb button, letting you press samples and hold holds at will.
