Plucky Synthesizer with Percussive Potential
A virtual synthesizer from synth programmer and sound designer Rob Papen, WirePluck is a focused tool for creating percussive sonic profiles that provide a rock-solid rhythmic foundation, drive melodic momentum, and much more. WirePluck is built on four sound sources with distinct sonic profiles: Wire emulates the sound of a plucked wire, and String uses a custom Karplus physical modeling structure. The third source, FM, is a phase modulation synthesizer complete with Pitch Envelope Decay control, which adds a bit more pluck into your tone. Finally, the fourth source, Wave, is a subtractive synthesizer with a wide array of available filters. These four sources are combined across three layers that let you craft unique percussive tones. Sweetwater producers have found that the Ribbon Controller’s real-time adjustments and time-based spring-back pair well with the percussive nature of WirePluck, offering additional movement to the Arpeggiator and Chord patterns. WirePluck also features effects, including Chorus, Flanger, Stereo Delay, and Reverb, that further distinguish your curated pluck tones. Additionally, if you’re looking for a creative foundation to branch off from, Rob Papen has populated a preset bank with his own presets and more provided by other sound designers. Pluck out dynamic rhythms with Rob Papen’s WirePluck.
