However, instead of tracking down a single set of “magic diodes,” the Voyager MKII provides a quintet of silicon and germanium diode configurations.
- I: The first setting captures the tone of the original Voyager, utilizing 1N34A germanium diodes for the most compressed tones that the Voyager MKII offers.
- II: This setting also features 1N34A germanium diodes, only with a hard-hitting bass boost to fatten up your tone
- III: For a more responsive and dynamic flavor, setting III sports symmetric silicone diodes.
- IV: Setting IV swaps over to asymmetrical silicone diodes to deliver the Voyager MKII’s least-compressed voice.
