Vintage-inspired Performances Meet Modern DSP Magic

Like virtually every guitarist around the globe, including the majority of Sweetwater’s 6-stringers, the minds at NUX are inspired by the performance panache of the one and only Jimi Hendrix. The NUX Voodoo Vibe pedal channels the penchant for innovation and expression pioneered by the late legend through the 1960s, supplying multimode vibrato and chorus effects that simulate the effect of a physically rotating speaker. The Voodoo Vibe’s onboard DSP utilizes NUX’s advanced sonic technologies to produce immense and immersive three-dimensional sound fields, with the I/O’s stereo-compatible TRS connections allowing you to summit daring heights of evocative space-shaping possibilities. What’s more, this digital dynamism allows the footswitch to function as a Tap Tempo to dial in the perfect amount of synchronization to suit your sound. When operating as a vibrato, the pedal’s Intensity control attenuates the degree of pitch modulation, while its Chorus-mode equivalent increases the depth of its sweeping sonics. The Speed control, on the other hand, moves from slow and undulating to rapid-fire shimmering depth, as you move clockwise. The pedal’s dual-mode architecture extends beyond its Vibrato-Chorus capabilities, as the dry signal features a true analog circuit, not only reducing noise and achieving near-zero latency, but also augmenting the sonic control afforded by the switchable true and buffered bypass operation. With an included power supply and support for battery-powered operation, the NUX Voodoo Vibe is a pocket-sized powerhouse that delivers a wealth of studio-to-stage performance possibilities, inspired by one of the greatest to ever do it.

NUX Voodoo Vibe Features:

  • Dual-mode vibrato and chorus pedal draws inspiration from the evocative 1960s performances of the legendary Jimi Hendrix
  • State-of-the-art DSP faithfully reproduces the 3D effects of a rotating-physical speaker vibrato and rich analog-like chorus capabilities
  • Intensity knob controls sweep-effect depth and pitch-modulation range of Chorus and Vibrato, respectively
  • Speed control attenuates multiple degrees of time and texture for slow-to-searing sweeping and shimmering sonics
  • Analog dry-signal circuit augments the performance possibilities of the switchable True- and Buffered-bypass operation
  • Stereo-compatible TRS I/O allows for immense soundfield immersion
  • Smart Tap Tempo function lets you dial in the ideal rate of synchronization, at any time
  • Robust chassis and pint-sized form factor ensure seamless integration into any studio or stage setup, with long-haul durability and easy portability in tow
  • Included PSU and support for battery-powered operation guarantee effortless activation as soon as your pedal arrives

Reviews

Do I hear Hendrix?
The Voodoo Vibe delivers with flying colors. This little pedal delivers that Jimi Hendrix vibe and so much more. It's quite, noisefree and pedalboard friendly and best of all is the low cost for such a powerful little pedal. I would recommend this to anyone looking for that Hendrix vibe.
Best Value Univibe On the Market (With 1 Flaw)
It's hard not to like this little pedal: tap tempo, buffer/bypass switching, mono/stereo switching, vibrato/chorus(vibe) modes, a volume knob (critical for these vibe pedals), small footprint, small price tag, and a great sound. (Shoot, even Trey Anastasio has one on his board.) The only thing I don't like about it--which really is a deal-breaker if you want that rich univibe sound--is the depth of the intensity knob. This effect pedal is fairly subtle, meaning that even with the intensity knob all the way up, compared to lots of other univibe pedals I've played, it's not very intense sounding. If I could just get another 10%-20% out of that dial, this would be a no-brainer, forever pedal.
