Want to elevate the audio quality of your video productions? It all starts with your mic. The Rode VideoMic Pro R takes their successful VideoMic Pro shotgun design and adds a Rycote Lyre shockmount, which does a superior job of isolating the mic capsule and electronics from vibration that can cause audio-ruining rumble. Rycote is well known throughout the motion picture/television industry for making bulletproof professional products that perform on the set, so you can shoot with confidence. Whether you're capturing sound with your camcorder, DSLR, or portable audio recorder, the Rode VideoMic Pro R is your ticket to better audio.

The Rode VideoMic Pro R's integrated Rycote Lyre shockmount system isolates the microphone's capsule and electronics from its mount, giving you immunity to vibrations that may result in muddy-sounding audio. Whether you're hand-holding, or your camera is tripod- or steadicam-mounted, vibrations can find their way to your mic and ruin an otherwise good shot. The Rycote shockmount stops those vibrations completely. Constructed from a single piece of rugged thermoplastic, the Lyre provides better acoustic suspension than traditional elastic shock mounts - plus, it will never sag, break, or wear out. Sweetwater video producers have been enthusiastic about the original Rode VideoMic Pro - and the Rycote shockmount makes it even better!

Spec'd with a 1/2" condenser capsule that delivers broadcast-quality sound, the Rode VideoMic Pro R is a true shotgun mic optimized for audio capture with camcorders, DSLRs, and portable audio recorders. Sporting an impressively low self-noise of just 14dB, the VideoMic Pro R is fitted with an 1/8" TRS connector that outputs the mono signal to both left and right channels of your camera or recorder. The mic's super-cardioid polar pattern minimizes off-axis audio, focusing on the subject in front of your lens.
