A Sub for your VersArray!

Beef up your low end with the VersArray 218! Designed for the most demanding pro-audio applications, the VersArray 218 is a vented subwoofer incorporating Peavey's ultra-high power Lo Max 18" woofer into a 13-ply Baltic birch cabinet. The 218 model also features Peavey's patented UniVent venting system, which uses an exclusive process to literally pump air through the enclosure, maintaining cool operating temperatures, increasing reliability and reducing power compression under heavy continuous-drive conditions.

Peavey offers an option for the VersArray 218 subwoofer with a ground-stacking kit that will support up to four modules and allow for full articulation. In addition, a crankable tower lift co-designed with Vermette can elevate up to six modules 13 feet above a 218 sub, then fold down for easy transport and storage. These items are available as accessories to VersArray enclosures.

Unbelievable

I did sound for a concert in Alabama, outside with at least 2500 people on a hot summer evening. Just two of these was all I brought, wondering if I had enough. I used a one qsc 3602 power amp to drive both. Long story short, I just couldn't stop talking about how powerful and perfect they performed. I thought nobody could top Jbl srx series but I was wrong. Peavey is the unsong hero of the p.a. world.

Amazing low end!

I installed two of these for a church recently in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. We could not pass half way of what the amplifier could give and the room was filled with enough low end. The church attendance averages the 800 peoples. I will recommend this one for sure. It delivers what you expect from a sub!

Best Peavey Sub yet..

I have owned six of these for the last 9 years, Have used the RMX 2450 bridged across each box, currently using IPR 7500 DSPs on them at 2 ohms, have had no driver failures, they need heavier duty rubber feet on them, they all peeled off fairly quickly. I would rather Peavey go back to the splatter finish they used in the early 80s, the hammer tex looks good new but traps dust and dirt and is hard to clean and can cut your hands. The stock casters have held up okay but could be a little better. I have modified mine to mount the VR112sMKIIs on the side instead of the top, 2 subs strapped together makes a more solid base for the 112s and I can stack em 5 high securely. Makes for a really nice system for about 1,500 people with an 80ft throw. Strap points on the top and bottom of the boxes would be nice.
