Extended-life Strings Without the Coating

DR Veritas .011-.050 Custom Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic guitar strings are great for performers and players needing more life from their strings who aren't fans of many of the coated options on the market. Veritas's Accurate Core Technology (ACT) focuses on the core of the strings, adding more strength and eliminating any variations through the wire. This offers you up to four times more life and improved tuning stability. And the lack of coating avoids the sound differences coating materials can add to your sound. The DR Veritas strings offer longer life from their very core.

DR Veritas Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings Features:
  • Extended-life strings without any coating
  • Accurate Core Technology (ACT) focuses on the core, not the wrap
  • Last up to 4 times longer than non-treated strings
  • ACT offers greater tuning stability
The DR Veritas acoustic strings free you from the concerns of excessive coating.

Reviews

Great Strings
I had these strings installed for 8 months and they still held their tone and weren't rusting. No breaks, stayed in tune, and lasted at least 200 hours worth of playtime or more.

11's were a happy medium for me. They weren't quite as stiff as the 12's that came on my acoustic, but they're definitely heavier than your typical electric strings. Barre chords were easily doable for a beginner like myself.

If I could describe the tone of these, I'd say they tend to run bright with a very nice mid-range. The lows were a TINY bit quieter than my previous strings, but as mentioned the others were 12's, so that could be the primary difference.

I must say, I have really enjoyed these strings and would definitely recommend them. I'm surprised I don't hear more about them.
DR strings
I would have to say these are the most brightest cleanest sound on a set of strings I have ever heard. I have a Washburn acoustic electric. The strings made my guitar sound like a Taylor I know I know hard to believe but wow what a difference. Love these strings
Music background: Living room player all my life. Never joined a band. I’m 60 now. Little too late to join a band but love these new strings I got
GREAT TONE
LOVE THESE STRINGS !!! FIRST TIME TRYING THEM AND HAPPY I DID! WILL BUY AGAIN.
Veritas Acoustic 11-50 Strings
I should start by saying that it is very rare for me to give bad reviews and I have never given anyone 1 star. I should also qualify that my review of these is for use as amplified acoustic electric strings. Maybe with a straight acoustic guitar it may be different, but I doubt it. They are horrible. I have tried DR acoustic electric strings and these Veritas. They are the same. There is a strange oscillation going on with the resonance. The volume changes. At times in the middle frets, especially with the 4th, 5th, and 6th strings that the notes are dead, no punch, and die out quickly with no sustain. Odd! At first I thought there was something wrong with my amp. After I changed strings, I confirmed it's the DR strings. I think DR stands for "Dead Resonance". Look elsewhere.
Music background: experienced, reasonable talent
