Flatwound Thump and Growl for the Modern Workflow
Through it features just a handful of knobs and settings, UJAM Virtual Bassist Dandy serves up a wealth of bass tones and styles appropriate for classic funk, soul, R&B, and revival rock. From McCartney to Jamerson, and Air to Daft Punk, Dandy gives your production a taste of that old-school bass authority with as few tweaks as possible. Amp and direct tones, neck and bridge pickups, and picked and thumbed sounds can all be tweaked in a matter of seconds to suit your tune. You can even blend in complex bass effects such as saturation, harmonics, and compression with the twist of a dial. Virtual Bassist Dandy fuses a top-quality bass instrument with a key-assignable phrase generator. So whether you want to key in real-time bass lines or select tones and grooves using Dandy's curated library of presets and phrases, this software has you covered. Instrument Mode gives MIDI vets authentic bass articulations — including bends, slides, damps, mutes, and stops — to really put some life on your grooves, riffs, and walking lines. New to programming bass? Switching to Player Mode makes it easy to roadmap your bass lines by selecting presets and cycling through Dandy's tasty grooves and fills. Once you find a bass line that bangs, simply drag and drop the MIDI from Dandy into your DAW's timeline for further tweaking and editing. The cherry on the sundae is Dandy's Finisher knob. This setting dramatically enhances the vibe of your bass line through the use of parallel compression, spring reverb, and more.

Write custom parts or let Dandy do the heavy lifting
UJAM Dandy offers two distinct modes for generating bass lines: Player Mode and Instrument Mode. In Player Mode, Dandy automatically generates bass lines to follow the key of a song as well as chord changes, even choosing the right articulations to make your tracks pop. If you prefer to create your bass lines from scratch, then Instrument Mode is right for you! Fire off tasty grooves from your MIDI controller or program lines on your DAW’s piano roll, with a full complement of playable flourishes spanning chunky dead notes to sinuous slides.

Double up your bass lines with MIDI Drag and Drop
