Awesome guitar amps meet epic stompbox effects

With 32 excellent guitar amplifier models and 15 interchangeable cabinet emulations, the V-AMP 3 offers you a total of 480 virtual combos to shape your tone. These amps come broken up into four categories, Clean, Blues, Metal, and Rock, and you can call them up with just the twist of a dial. British, American, retro, or futuristic - they're all onboard the V-AMP 3. But that's just the beginning. Each amp gives you a 3-band EQ plus presence, and onboard reverb lets you add dimension to your tone. There's also a collection of 16 classic stompbox effects onboard the V-AMP 3 plus other cool goodies like a tuner and a gate. Sound overwhelming? No worries, there are 125 killer presets to get you started, and you can create your own presets for easy recall later.

An amazing recording tool for creative guitarists

One of the most common issues Sweetwater customers ask their Sales Engineers about is how to record great guitar parts, without committing to your tone or suffer from latency issues. One of the easiest solutions is to use a device such as the Behringer V-AMP 3. The V-AMP 3 includes Behringer's UCA222 USB audio interface, and it offers direct monitoring, so you won't experience a lag between what you play and what you hear. What's more, it gives you the option of recording both your effected guitar tone and a dry signal, giving you the option to use amp modeling and effects plug-ins when you mix. And to make it all easy, the V-AMP 3 includes multiple Studio Modes, allowing you to quickly change configurations to best suit your needs.

Rock your favorite guitar tones live onstage

Although the V-AMP 3 is a table-top guitar effects module, it's surprisingly easy to work it into your live effects rig. It even comes with three Live Modes to make configuring it for onstage use a breeze. In Live Mode 1, you send both outputs right to the front-of-house mixer for stereo sound. Live Mode 2 kills the speaker simulation, making it ideal for when you want to run your output to a pair of amps for onstage stereo. And Live Mode 3 gives you dual mono output, so you can send one out with speaker emulation to the house, and the other one without speaker emulation to your amp. What's more, thought the V-AMP 3 only has one footswitch input, you can connect a MIDI footswitch controller to it for extensive real-time control.

Behringer V-AMP 3 Guitar Amp Modeler and Multi-effects Features:

Awesome pedal...awesome company at Sweetwater!

Just purchased a Behringer V-Amp 3 from Sweetwater and couldn't be more pleased. Great service from this very impressed. For $100 and free shipping, very glad to buy this brand new unit rather than take a chance on buying used on E-Bay. Did I mention the free shipping? Sweet! Friendly and professional Sweetwater rep followed up with a quick phone call to ask if I had any questions about my online purchasing experience. FedEx pulled in my driveway exactly on the assigned delivery date at 10 a.m. sharp. Oh, and what about the pedal? AWESOME! The V-Amp 3 is loaded with tremendous effects and amp models galore. This unit (love that cherry red design) fits perfectly right on top of my Roland Cube-40 for my live performances. I play both my Fender solid body Classic Vibe and my Takamine acoustic guitars through the V-Amp 3 . Both sound fantastic for my wide range of mellow acoustic covers using a rich, deep delay to 'full throttle up' distortion using a 'Brit Hi-Gain' amp model for Floyd and Hendrix material. And all right at my fingertips to tweak as I go. And if you were wondering my motivation for this sterling review...I really appreciate Quality Service. This is my very first purchase ever from Sweetwater. Highly recommend the V-Amp 3...highly recommend Sweetwater!

It's a great product

I use the clean amp models going into my USB mixer then into my PC. I'm not doing anything with the mixer except feeding my PC. I'm getting great tones and really love the V-Amp 3. I'm getting really nice clean sounds and the speaker cabinets are great. The effects are nice, but I am recording clean and do my own effects via my DAW. I'm recording my Gretsch guitar. The learning curve was very easy and he manual it straight forward. I have not tried the UCA222 USB audio interface because I already had a mixer set-up to handle that

Take your time...

I love the price, range of amps/cabs and the tweakability of all of it. I love that I can use headphones, get a very decent sound into my ears and play 'as loud as I want' without bothering my wife or three children. You aren't going to get the most stellar playing dynamics you've ever experienced, but if you take your time you'll find the sounds your really want. I have found that, despite the aforementioned lack of playing dynamics, changing pickups does actually make a fantastic difference. Higher output pickups can cause the digital preamp to clip in a fashion that isn't very pleasant, but liberal tweaking of the compressor function will remedy that. I have performed with this a couple of times, and it doesn't sound half bad straight into a PA. While nothing is absolutely perfect, this is a wonderful budget tone monster.
