Powerhouse String Synth Plug-in
In a multi-year effort, UVI lovingly collected over 60 string synthesizers spanning over a half-century of design innovation from around the world. These classic string synths were painstakingly restored and meticulously recorded to create String Machines 2. This amazing plug-in greatly expands on its predecessor (released in 2012) to include a treasure trove of rare machines and sounds that are exclusive to this collection as well as a fully updated architecture and user interface.
This product requires that you have an iLok account for authorization, although it does not require a physical iLok key. It also requires UVI Workstation or Falcon. Please call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer if you have questions.

With UVI String Machines 2, you can create stunning string pads, bass, brass, voice, piano and keyboard sounds, and more with the warm analog vibe of vintage string synthesizers. UVI handcrafted 355 killer presets built on 46,000 samples to get you started. Once underway, String Machines 2's powerful dual-layer architecture makes it easy to blend the sounds of multiple machines together to create fantastic hybrids with total creative freedom.
An inspiring instrument and an important archive
UVI's original String Machines delivered eleven of the most iconic vintage string synths. Now String Machines 2 is back with 51 more! Experience classics like the Solina, Elka Rhapsody, and Freemand String Symphonizer as well as exceedingly rare models such as the Yamaha SK-50D, Jen SM2007, Logan Vocalist, and more. Many of these machines were very difficult to track down and most of them came to UVI non-operational and requiring serious repair and restoration. As far as the synth geeks at Sweetwater are concerned, it was well worth the effort: String Machines 2 is both an inspiring instrument and an important archive.
