Game Changer

I knew upgrading my IEMs would help but never knew it would make such a huge impact on my performance, it is such a joy to sing now with the confidence of being able to hear properly! Was a little worried about buying a brand I didn't know but these are phenomenal quality, making them a great value!

Game Changer

As a bass player/vocalist i've really struggled with hearing what i needed in my monitor mix. Had tried a lower end Shure system a few years ago and was completely unimpressed. MIx was muddy and wasn't much bass and ended up going back to a wedge monitor. Continued to struggle along and decided it was time to get serious about a more professional system that could give me an accurate lower end response and clarity on the rest. Felt i needed to step up to a 3 driver set of in-ears and was torn between the Shure SE535 and the Westone Pro 30. All the reviews out there said the Westones were in many regards as good if not better than the Shures at around $100 less expensive. For what it's worth, I can't compare the two as i ended up going with Westone but first time out of the gate was a major game changer for me in a live setting. I've never felt so free on stage as i did at our last gig. I didn't struggle at all to hear my bass or vocals. I had exactly what i needed in the monitor mix and it was absolutely CRYSTAL clear in every regard. Bass response was excellent. I cringed at the thought of dropping $400 on a set but after my first experience with them, I'd have shelled over the additional $100 and felt they were worth every cent. I know this isn't much in the way of a technical review but in terms of a simple and straightforward piece of feedback on my experience, I feel that these were absolutely perfect and i couldn't be happier. I'd recommend these to anyone else in a similar situation.

A bit of a crap shoot

I have weird ear canals. Never could use consumer grade buds. Here's the gig: If the don't seal, no bass. If they seal, but aren't lined up properly with the ear canal, no treble; pure mud. After a lot of frustration and experimentation, I was able to use the "sure fit" short and wide tips successfully. Most folks like the foam tips. Every time I would smile, I lost the seal with the foam. Once properly seated the sound was spectacular! No stage wedge can touch it. Perfect performance timing obviously per zero distance, echo loss. The band is now pumping out some ungodly syncopation. Be ready to hear everybody's shortcomings. I am convinced that some folks would have to have molds to benefit from the sound these can produce. That's the rub. You can't return them.

Worth the money

These are well balanced and offer great separation. Lows are nice and full. Will eventually get these remolded
