Classic voicing, modern control
Built on the foundations of Sequential’s iconic 3-oscillator ladder filter sound, the Trigon-6 supplements the rich voicing with six voices of powerful polyphony. Blend distinctive sonics with simultaneously selectable waveforms on each of the three per-voice VCOs, with triangle, sawtooth, and reverse sawtooth options, refined and personalized through pulse-width modulation for each oscillator. Feedback and drive controls can be used to attune saturation with each oscillator, while hard sync connects VCOs one and two, and keyboard tracking can be toggled for VCO three. A supplementary white noise source and a toggle-capable keyboard pitch tracking broaden the scope of even further; a vintage knob lets you dial in the voice-to-voice variance of vintage synths, allowing you to sculpt a sound that’s equal parts personal and quintessential Sequential.
Superlative sonic shaping
Sequential spared no effort in ensuring comprehensive control of your Trigon-6 tones. A flexible lowpass filter can be quickly toggled between 2- and 4-pole modes, with discrete, resonant, lowpass, and ladder options available per voice. Bipolar envelope-amount values and be used in conjunction with velocity modulation, while you can send the filter into self-oscillation with the resonance controls. The 4-stage ADSR envelope generators can be velocity modulated for both amplifier and filter envelopes.
A menagerie of modulation
Craft alluring, reactive patches with the help of the Trigon’s formidable LFO that boasts five waveshapes, including a sample and hold-based random mode. Eight target destinations include frequency and pulse-width values for each oscillator, as well as filter cutoff and VCA figures. Chain this into the versatile Polymod, which sources bipolar values from your VCO three and filter envelope to a choice of seven destinations. A tight, spring-loaded pitch wheel hosts a selectable range between one and 12 semi-tones, coupled with a dynamic and voltaic aftertouch, capable of simultaneously selectable destinations, including both FX mixes.
Spatialized soundscapes and robust rhythms
Bolster your sound with the texturizing tools of Sequential’s formidable FX suite. Fully digital at 24-bit/48kHz, the A and B mixes include multiple delay and reverb options, as well as chorus, flanger, phase shifter, and ring modulation. Push the vintage-inspired circuitry to its harmonic edges with gritty, stereo analog distortion, or hit the true bypass to maintain a fully analog signal path. Utilize the 3-octave range of the versatile arpeggiator to elicit compelling playback, or ramp up the rhythm with the polyphonic 64-step sequencer. Stack or arrange your sonics across multiple voice modes, including a configurable-count unison, chord, or key. Plus, the polyphonic portamento is a striking supplement to the Trigon’s 6-voice scope.
Streamlined integration
Considering the plethora of inspiring opportunities afforded by the Trigon-6, Sequential made integration into any arrangement a breeze. An uncomplicated rear panel includes 1/4-inch audio outputs for left/mono, right, and headphones, delivering uncompromising audio from the studio to the stage. MIDI ports allow for dedicated control of in, out, and thru functions, while a USB-B port supports bidirectional MIDI communication. Footswitch ports are available for sustain and sequencer start/stop controls; expression pedal ports can accommodate filter cutoff and volume values. The Trigon-6 comes loaded with 500 factory presets, and an additional 500 are left blank for you to painlessly craft and recall your preferred patches. The streamlined, ergonomic interface includes vivid displays, backlit buttons, and a 10-bank program selection station, with 100 programs each.
