Guitarists! You Need This!

Two Notes' Torpedo Reload is your one-stop high-end device for quiet/silent playing and reamping. A power attenuator, multi-impedance loadbox, DI, and re-amping box all in one, Torpedo Reload does it all - and quite well, we might add. Take it from Sweetwater, this is essential kit for a proper guitarist's studio. It's all about tone, and you may have used attenuators that have disappointed you in the past. Torpedo Reload's Reactive-Active technology presents your amp with a consistent speaker impedance, for glorious, full, transparent sound - no matter how much attenuation you've dialed up. Torpedo Reload comes with 24 Wall of Sound cabinets, and others are available for purchase directly from within the interface.

Two Notes Torpedo Reload at a Glance:
  • One device does it all
  • A hi-Z DI box and Reactive-Active technology
  • Lay down tracks today, choose your amp tomorrow
  • Match function makes re-amping easy
  • Plug into your Wall of Sound
One device does it all

Why should re-amping be a hassle? With Two Notes Torpedo Reload, it's not. The process is streamlined and easy. Just record your guitar direct, send the signal back to your amp using the Replay, drive your amp properly (this is automatic), lower your level (or make it completely silent) with Re-Act, and record the signal from the loadbox. You can even use another mic and cabinet for a third option. And all this can all happen simultaneously. Incredible!

A hi-Z DI Box and Reactive-Active technology

Plug your guitar into Torpedo Reload's hi-Z DI input jack and send the signal to your DAW or recorder. You can later re-send the signal to your guitar amp via Reload's Replay function. Torpedo Reload preserves your guitar's tone with pristine clarity, letting you re-inject it into your amp through the Replay. Reactive-Active technology presents your amp with a consistent speaker impedance, for glorious, full, transparent sound - no matter how much attenuation you've dialed up.

Lay down tracks today, choose your amp tomorrow

If you're like a lot of today's guitarists, you'll probably want to concentrate on laying down solid tracks and worry about which amp to use at another time. Torpedo Reload to the rescue! The hardest part of re-amplification is making sure the output level on your DAW matches the level of your guitar when it's directly connected to your amplifier. With Torpedo Reload's Match function, it's automatic!

Match function makes re-amping easy

Two Notes' innovative Match function solves the hassles of level adjustment when re-amping. Match compares the signal as it comes from your guitar (plugged into Reload's DI input) with the signal you've recorded (which is sent to the Replay line input) so that what you send the amp is level-perfect. You can be sure the signal you send from your DAW is precisely what your guitar itself would be sending.

Plug into your Wall of Sound

Torpedo Reload ships with the Wall of Sound III cabinet model plug-in and gets you started with 24 speaker cabinets (you can purchase additional cabs directly via the interface). In concert with Torpedo Reload and your favorite guitar or bass amp, Wall of Sound III achieves totally true-to-life studio miking of your amp.
You select the the cabinet and microphone; find the sweet spot and place the mic in your virtual studio. Then you can deploy all those cool Torpedo features, including power-amp simulation, 3rd-party IR compatibility, and the possibility of mixing up to 100 different cabs within a single plug-in instance. Wow!

Tame your Amp!

I moved into an apartment and did not want to part with my two favorite amps. I was looking for a solution to tame my amps and after discussing with my Sales Representative Ryan I decided to purchase this little GEM! The attenuator is magic! I have used every feature, DI recording, Loadbox recording, and re-amping, all work as advertised! The wall of sound is also amazing! If you love the sound of your amp and want to crank it up and not cause a civil war with your neighbors this is the best option I have found and I researched all of them! I cant imagine my studio without the Two Notes Torpedo Reload!

A Tube Amp Essential

An amazing smorgasbord of game-changing tools for anyone who plays a tube amp. The power attenuator sounds incredibly natural and even allows you to shape the sound coming out of your cab using the contour control. The loadbox combined with the Wall of Sound plug-in allow you to capture your amp's sound without dealing with microphones and room acoustics. As a guy who plays in the second bedroom of an apartment, the attenuator and loadbox were a perfect solution. The DI I actually found kind of annoying. The signal chain requires you to plug into the Reload, send the DI signal to your interface, send the signal back to the Reload, and then feed it through your amp. Which results you needing the PC and DAW on in order to play, and also introduces latency in your playing. I wasn't a fan of this setup at all, so I simply bought a DI box and split my guitar signal, then used the Reload as an attenuator. When I want to re-amp, all I have to do is send the DI to the Reload and I'm in business. The DI signal chain isn't anywhere close to a deal-breaker and it's really easy to work around, but it doesn't seem they do a very good job of explaining that you need to play through your interface/DAW in order for the unit to be used the way they intend for it to be used. Still, this is one of the best purchases I've made for my recording rig. The attenuator and loadbox alone are worth their weight in gold, and the ability to re-amp opens up tons of possibilities. If you've got the money to do it right, buy this.

Total volume flexibility

I bought this unit for its ability to attenuate and haven't tried out the recording features yet. But it is perfect for siphoning off as many dB as needed to get a cranked tube amp to a reasonable stage volume. I play through a Matchless DC30 pretty clean and it gets intolerably loud. Using this attenuator, it still sounds like a DC30, but I can control the volume very precisely. There's nothing I can find to dislike about this product and I'm looking forward to trying out the recording features at some point.

It helps

I haven't completely dove into this unit yet. I mostly bought it for the load box feature.. And it does that perfect. I can crank my Bogner at bedroom levels and not wake the kids. Worth the price!

Awesome!

All in one solution for your home studio. Definite upgrade from my Radial J48/ReAmp boxes. Pros Sound quality Match Feature Amp Attenuation Connectivity Options Proper ground loop elimination Cons Unit can get hot Unit is audible in the room (Recorded signals are clean. The noise is from the cooling fan.) 4/5 Stars since it can get a little hot and is louder than my computer fans. I would say roadworthy if only it came with a carry case. Wall of Sound: I can't seem to get their Fryette Deliverance 2x12 SM57 cabinet impulses to sound anything close to my SM57 mic'd Fryette Deliverance 4x12 cabinet. This could be just me. :/ Sounds great with amp DI and impulses found online!

Sweetwater Advice

Patrick Weaver

The Torpedo Reload's ability to be DI box, re-amper, and load box all in one unit is great for me due to the limited space in my home studio. Since I can load my own impulse reponses, it allows me to record my tube head silently. And when re-amping, the Reload stands above the competition using an indicator similar to a tuner to tell me when I'm at the optimal level.
