Reviews

For me, this is the top Elektron box
I've had mine for a few weeks and I like it more all the time.

The automatic sampler (for multi-samples) is *awesome*. You can hook it up to your laptop with one cable and grab whatever patch out of whatever software in a matter of minutes. It's full of nice quality-of-life features. Track transposition, for example, is lightning quick and completely intuitive.

It has some features (polyphony!) that require some new complexity in editing compared to other Elektron boxes. Step recording in particular is different. But what they've done makes a lot of sense. Getting used to it feels more like unlocking it than learning to live with it.

It's fun. It's really powerful. It's fast to make something new but the ceiling for what it can do to a pattern when you put some time in is really high.
