1972 Comes Alive!

Want the feel of a classic Telecaster plus BIG Tele tones? Here you go! You're going to love what Fender's humbucker-equipped '72 Telecaster Deluxe does for you and your appetite for thick, corpulent, massive sonics. This Tele's loaded with two Wide-Range 'buckers, and its strings-through-body bridge transmits that string resonance through the alder body. The result? Huge tones, excellent sustain, super-stable tuning, and a ton of Tele fun. Add the mega-comfortable maple neck and quality hardware and you've got a dream guitar at a dream of a price!

You know and love this icon of a solidbody electric guitar; from Nashville to New York City to New Orleans to Nor Cal (and everywhere in-between), axe-slingers all over the place swear by the Tele. Why? Start with the history: over a half-century after the first Telecaster flew out of Fullerton, California, this solidbody retains essentially the same design. That's doing it right the first time! The classic pickup arrangement, easy switching, comfortable neck shape, and time-tested hardware combine to give you exactly what you want out of an electric guitar, no matter what kind of music you play.

Springsteen plays one. So does Tom Petty. And Andy Summers from the Police. Want to talk twang? Look no further than the Teles strapped to Merle Haggard or the legendary James Burton. Keith Richards brought dozens of rock's most memorable licks to life on a Tele, and Joe Strummer used his Telecaster to blend punk's snarl with smart songcraft. Don't forget Roy Buchanan and Albert Collins; their Teles helped to define electric blues. And, who can forget all those amazing R&B records Steve Cropper put his Telecaster magic on? We're just scratching the surface here, folks... you simply can't go wrong when you strap on a Tele!

Nice Tele

Very nice guitar after nut cut to correct height and set-up. Good pickups, nice play, easy feel, put on a set of 10's to get the most out of the sound-ships with 9's. Recommend. Alan Carter is A-1. Best salesman at Sweetwater. Easy to work with, honest and one righteous dude!
Music background: 39 years active gigger.

a cool looking guitar

I had bought one of these Mexican made telecasters. For the longest time i could not figure out why it would not stay in tune.Until I replaced the two String Trees on the head stock with fender upgraded string trees. Now it finally stays in tune perfectly. Maybe Fender has corrected this issue but it drove me crazy. The pickups Buzz loudly when your hands aren't on the strings and I don't think the bridge pickup is all that great. I eventually sold mine on Ebay, was glad to get rid of this guitar.
Music background: gigging musician
