Amazing Overall Stick
I've drummed professionally for over 20 years, and in that time only played Vic Firth. I've actually been playing the VF X5A's for about 6 years. Just recently, Chris Hornbrook from the metal band Poison The Well told me that he prefers Promark, more specifically the Forward B .595's. turns out Promark no longer makes those sticks. So I decided to grab these Classic Forward 747's and gotta say…I've been SUPER pleased with them! Although the 747's are about 1/4" shorter, they're still a tad longer than your average 16" stick. The tip on the 747 is absolutely perfect; it's a good hard-hitter but also allows for articulate dynamics. I plan on adding a couple more pairs to my bag!

Highly recommend for metal, jazz, fusion, gospel… any style really! Promark - please send me some of these so I can reconsider my VF's!
Music background: I’ve been drumming for 26 years, 20 of which professionally.
Great bang (pun intended) for the buck
First, a disclaimer: the one flaw that I've noticed (pictured) is manufacturer-direct, not a Sweetwater oversight. That being said, there was some splintering at the back end of one stick, so I had to basically dig that bit out for safety. Otherwise, I love the balance and rebound, they're super comfortable regardless of grip (I prefer to play double-underhand, but tried them under/over, over/under, and double-overhand, and all felt very natural), and while I've tried some lighter sticks, these have just enough weight to them to get a good roll going with minimal effort, but not so much that they'd cause undue wrist fatigue. I could definitely see myself trying out other 747 series, but it'd be a tall order for me to be significantly more satisfied.

GREAT STICKS!!
I have tried many sticks...different sizes and brands....these are perfect....great feel and durable...
Music background: Playing for 30+ years
Great sticks that don’t cost a lot
These are my first pair of Promark sticks. They are somewhat light and rather thin, they fit my hands very well, I like the raw finish, and they seem to be durable and well made so far. Definitely keeping with Promark.
Promark the natural 5a drumsticks
Most durable, long lasting, pair of sticks I've ever owned. I bought a pair when I was like 8 years old and had the m for 10 years. Works perfect.
