Reviews

Tall enough
I now have three ultimate support self rise stands , all work great .
I gotta the tall one just now .
I used to bring two mains to a medium sixed inside gig ( qsc k8.2 ) + monitor
Now just bring 1 main .
When it's up 8ft then the speaker top is about 10ft angled down nothing gets in the way of the sound , so dose not have to be as loud qsc 8s 105 degrees speed .
Outside vinyard is the same thing .
In the rite setting where and old building with 20 foot or taller ceilings, like all the brewery's don't need a monitor, just sit below the fully extended pole the sound goes over head and no feed back , but it's got to be the rite room .
Did it in a collage library once before I bought this one .
I might buy another tall one .
Make sure to get the ultimate bag for the tall one , it's nice and fits correctly.
I have gator bags for my other two and they are tough and also fit as well .
Sam Hillman is the best salesman at Sweetwater, the rest are good I'm sure.

Good product, recommended
I've had a pair of these for several years and given them heavy use. The leveling leg is extremely useful for for slopping terrain or situations at venues where all three legs can't be on the same surface. I was skeptical about the durability of the airlift system but it has been flawless so far. The only problem I've had with these is the clamp mechanism on one of the leveling legs stripped out. I've got lots of mechanical background so I wasn't over tightening. Just soft metal on the ZKB137 Hand Knob bolt. Tried to purchase a spare part direct from Ultimate but their website was apparently broken. Tried on my tablet, tried on my laptop. No go. Ended up ordering the part from a third party vendor for about $ including shipping. Other than that I got nothing but good to say about these stands. The fact that parts were available keeps them at a five-star rating.

Definitely worth the $$$
I have used speaker stands all my life and wondered if it will ever get easier putting them up. Well it finally has. Other than the great adjustment that the stands can do (can be used on un-even surfaces) the stand can raise the speakers with ease. No more 2 man job. Can handle the weight of all the speakers that I have used with it. Definitely worth every penny.
Amazingly versatile quality tripods
I have been running sound for local bands and functions for many years. I have always used tripod speaker and lighting stands in various configurations depending on stage deployment even when using trusses. They are an essential part of my inventory.
I have some 'cheapies' that I can throw around and not worry about them - they get used for maybe side fills and maybe duo type acts. I have some more expensive stands too- some crank ups and some gas assist.
In my experience, I have noted 3 things (IMHO) that every tripod stand should have/do to be flexible enough for any situation :
1) Extra height. Most tripod (speaker) stands only go up to about 6ft and there are many incidences where more height is required. Lighting stands do go higher but are often expensive and too elaborate for my needs.
2) Gas assist! This is so necessary even if your back is young and fit!...It is no joke having to lift a loaded tripod shaft up and down more than once because you have to revisit a powered speaker setting or move a light fixture.
3) An adjustable leg for uneven surfaces. I cannot count the times I would have loved to set my stand a little closer to a set of steps or not had to use pieces of wood as leg levellers on unlevel ground.

Enter the Ultimate Support TS110-BL.

I happened to be searching for the perfect tripod with the expectation of finding perhaps only 2 of the 3 features I mentioned above in a quality stand and I came across this one. Ironically I already own a pair of the gas assist TS100b which have been fantastic so I knew the quality would be good. This tripod has all 3 features I was looking for at a very affordable price point so I placed the order. They came today and WOW - they are really nice!
They are a chunkier build than my smaller pair - taller legs etc but basically the same build quality. I LOVE the leveling leg - this will come in so handy.
The extra height is perfect for situations like when the stage won't accommodate the stands and they need to go on the floor in front. They can now be taken up nice and high and then the speakers can be tilted down to the dance floor where I want the music to be focused. Or maybe they can be used as lighting stands if I don't them more than 9ft high.

From my searches, I believe these stands to be the only ones - certainly at this price point - that offer all 3 benefits over other tripod stands on the market and for me check all my boxes.
I also purchased the Ultimate Support Bag 99 to protect the tripods - it is extra tall and has separate compartments. It is also nice quality and will provide enough protection for long time.
Sweetwater shipping was stupid fast as usual and my sales engineer Nick Farmer is fantastic!

Excellent Speaker Stand!!
We're a portable church that had been using inexpensive crank-up stands from @maZ0n. After the last one broke (2nd set), we decided it was time to get something better. Jason Koons recommended this model. When I unboxed it, I didn't know what to think because it was so much lighter than the crank-up stands. It's so easy to set-up and move into place and the hydraulic assist for the speakers (QSC K-10) works perfectly! One of my colleagues at FOH is a woman of smaller stature (not short) and she has no problem setting these up with the speakers. Time will tell how they hold up to mobile ministry but so far, so good! I would buy these again!
