Building upon their BYOME (“Build-Your-Own-Modular Effect”) technology, Plugin Alliance’s TRIAD from Unfiltered Audio effectively triples the ante. Many famous Unfiltered Audio algorithms are still onboard, as well as their incredible modulation system, randomization functions, and over 400 presets — in short, everything that Sweetwater engineers and sound designers love about BYOME. But where TRIAD differs is that now you can use all of BYOME’s enormous firepower on three separate bands simultaneously! Imagine being able to split your signal into low, mid, and high bands, then use completely different effects processing on each band individually before summing them all together. That’s precisely what TRIAD gives you, in addition to 2-band mode (low and high), 3x and 2x Parallel Processing Modes, and unique Mid-Side and Left-Right stereo channel processor modes. You’ll also get the incredible Instant/Dynamic Spectral Snap function, which will automatically change frequency band cutoff points for you.

Three instances of BYOME all at once
TRIAD’s 2-band/3-band Frequency Splitter modes, 2x/3x Parallel Processor modes, and Mid-Side plus Left-Right Channel Processor modes kick its underlying BYOME technology into overdrive. Being able to process each band or channel independently has huge implications for both music and sound design. TRIAD’s Spectral Snap function is also groundbreaking. Its two modes (Instant and Dynamic) will either analyze your currently selected audio frame and then auto-adjust the cutoff points accordingly (Instant) or will continuously adjust in real-time (Dynamic).
Eight categories of effects modules
At the heart of TRIAD are its 40+ effects modules grouped into eight categories: Delays, Distortions, Dynamics, Filters, Granular, Mixing, Modulations, and Reverbs. These categories include effect algorithms that will look familiar to previous users of Unfiltered Audio plug-ins. Still, the new stars — such as the Probability Gate and the Spectral Follower — really steal the show. With a Mix knob on every module, you can create your ideal effects and dial in the perfect amounts.
Robust modulation system — now with macros
Unfiltered Audio’s modulation system makes it easy for beginners to start patching immediately, but professionals will also find plenty under the hood. The new Macro Modulator feature makes adjusting multiple preset parameters faster and more versatile. And, with TRIAD offering randomization functionality on a per-section/effect/modulator basis, who knows what will happen? You’ll very likely create sounds that no one has ever heard before.
400+ presets to get you up and running
If TRIAD appears too heady at first, don’t worry. Unfiltered Audio has also thrown in more than 400 presets, with more than 200 coming from famous sound designers like Richard Devine, Ivo Ivanov from Glitchmachines, and Ignatius. They’re great for immediate use in your projects or as creative springboards into your custom effects.
