Reviews

You feel it
LOVE this cab. I run 2 of these with a Grandmeister deluxe 40 and it really moves air. Way move then I need for playing at home but the feeling is awesome. Highly recommended!
Great sound
I used this at an outdoor performance and it kept up fine with all the instruments. Very happy with the sound and volume.
H&K 2X12 GUITAR CABINET
So...I'm really tired of hauling around a Marshall 4x12 and 50 watt JMP head but I did not want to sacrifice the sound of a big cabinet for a lesser item. Lots of research later, as usual, I had pretty much dialed in that i would get an Orange 2x12 or the H&K 2x12. How to choose...always the dilema. Do I know a guy? One that knows all this stuff? Why yes, I do! So I sent a communique to Dave Snow. He explained the finer points of open back cabints vs. closed and here we are.
This H&K 2x12 is a closed back design and therfore has better bass response and deeper tonal ability than a lot of speaker cabinets I have used/tried. It may be that the new has not yet worn off on it but to my ears is seems that I am getting deeper, better low end out of this thing than the Marshall 4x12 I have been using. Maybe its 40 year old Marshall tech vs. the brand new H&K tech but there is definitely a difference. It sounds great and is very much lighter than the Marshall. The Celestion speakers are a great way to go as well (some things never change). Very happy with the purchase. It was expensive but I have no buyers remorse on this one. Thank you Dave, for your expertise and insight. For you guys that dont ask questions...like me, turn over a new leaf and pick the brains of these sales engineers. They know thier stuff!

Awesome cab!
There's not a lot more I can add to the other reviews here other than to give my thumbs up. All of my amps sound great through this cab. I can't imagine any amp not sounding great. It's the main recording cab in my studio and I like to set it up initially with client amp heads so they can A/B it against their cab especially if we're trying to get a focused, iso-booth kind of sound. It's built like a tank but doesn't weigh a ton. The sound is full and very focused and the speakers break in nicely. Highly recommended. I'd love it if they offered this cab with other speaker configurations.
Huge sound in a small package
Great sounding, well engineered and built like a tank. This amp is loaded with practical features noise gate, Modulation, Delay and Reverb. The Red Box emulated out with various settings sounds as good as I've heard.
Hughes & Kettner covered all the bases with this affordable package for the gigging musician and recording engineer as well.
Many Thanks to Sweetwater and Allan Carter.
If its worth having Sweetwater has it.
