Grab this Antigua Strat Special Edition!

The Fender Antigua Strat Special Edition oozes '70 vibe. Fender's Antigua finish - which graces both the body and pickguard of this solidbody electric guitar - is extremely rare, having made only a few brief appearances throughout Fender's history. But the vintage vibe doesn't end there. In addition to the eye-popping finish, Fender's spec'd this axe with a 7.25" radius maple fingerboard sporting 21 vintage-style frets, three single-coil pickups, and of course, a vintage-style trem. The visuals are topped off by black pickup covers, knobs, and switch tip. If you're up for a rare guitar that's absurdly affordable, grab a Fender Antigua Strat - while they're still available.

Antigua - a rare, historical Fender finish

Fender's legendary (and rare) Antigua finish - Strats don't get any more '70s than this! Making a brief debut on Fender's 1967 Coronado II, this unique finish wasn't rolled out in earnest for another decade, when Fender offered it on several popular models. Appearing only sporadically since then, antigua-finish Fenders are rare indeed - and highly prized by collectors in the know. A bona fide expression of one of Fender's most exclusive (and elusive) finishes, this special-edition Antigua Strat is available in limited quantities - so reserve yours while you can.

Vintage '70s vibe

The Antigua Strat special edition is dripping with '70s vibe. First, there's the unmistakable Antigua finish, but Fender didn't stop there! You also get the iconic large Strat headstock, complete with bullet truss rod nut and CBS-era Fender logo. Contrasting pickup covers, knobs, and switch tips were a decidedly '70s thing, and the Antigua Strat sports black ones, nicely offsetting the Antigua finish - which graces not only the body, but the pickguard as well! Polishing off this yummy trip back in time is a vintage-style Strat trem, and a 7.25" radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets.

Three vintage-style single-coil Strat pickups

The Stratocaster was the first production line guitar with three pickups, and it's no surprise that this basic configuration is just as popular today as it was in 1954. Your Antigua Strat comes from the factory with three vintage-style single-coil pickups with ceramic magnets. Way back in the 1950s and '60s, players had to carefully fiddle with their three-position blade switch to get those "in between" pickup combinations. Don't worry. Your Antigua Strat is equipped with a modern five-way blade switch for instant access to all the cool Strat tones.
