I have been using the dipped ones for so long that I forgot how good these were. They don't just slip out of my hands like most. They also have the best finish out there for a stick if you think that premark has just a little too little fish on theirs. I use these for rock to jazz and they always perform amazing and the tips don't split or break for me. My new favorite
