Maximum Smash, Minimal Effort
Smash from KIT Plugins offers the perfect cure for bland, all-too-sterile tracks. This dynamics and saturation plug-in mimics the effect of running a signal through analog amplifier circuits, thereby injecting it with color and compression. Smash's 1-knob interface is a breeze to use: the more you crank it, the more you compress and saturate your track. You also get Input and Output knobs for gain-staging your signal, a Mix knob for dead-simple parallel processing, and a Hi-Cut knob for attenuating harsh high-frequency content. A Lo-Fi function is also included to add classic lo-fi filter effects to your signal. Here at Sweetwater we're impressed by Smash's convenient preset manager, as well as its easy-to-use A/B function.
