A Groovy, ’60s-inspired Overdrive Pedal

Want to explore the sounds of the ’60s without lugging around bulky, heavy amps? The NUX 6ixty 5ive Overdrive answers that call, accurately reproducing the sound — and vibe — of a popular US-made black-panel amplifier. Bass and Treble controls contain a wide enough sweep to find your best tone whether you’re playing a single-coil- or humbucker-equipped guitar, and the Gain control is as expressive as the original amp, ranging from sparkling cleans to excellent classic rock and blues breakup. Sweetwater’s guitar players are especially excited about being able to tailor their gain structure to suit their musical needs with the Saturation trimpot. Relive the magic of this monumental decade of music with the 6ixty 5ive Overdrive!

NUX 6ixty 5ive Overdrive Features:

  • Overdrive pedal based on a mid-’60s black-panel-style amp
  • Op-amp design reproduces nuanced playing like a traditional amplifier
  • Versatile tone and gain sweeps cover multiple genres of music, from blues to classic rock
  • Saturation trim control fine-tunes the intensity of the Gain control

Reviews

Must have!
Very versatile OD pedal. Works for both electric and acoustic. Tons of gain; wide range of OD flavors.

Subtle, Smooth and plays well with others
A simple and Mellow overdrive. I have a few others, this one gets used the most because it doesn't change my main tone. To me it offers texture to an existing tone. Works well with singles, P90's and of course HB's. I use gain at more than half most of the time, as compared to my hot tubes pedal stays under half, Juss sayin, this is a smooth pedal. When stacking with other pedals it doesn't muddy up everything. Zero noise, very nice. I have a few NUX pedals and overall like them. This one in my opinion could have been more expensive and I would still call it a good value. For sure this is an upper middle range pedal. Ben Davis is the man at SweetWater! Thanks bro !!

NUX "Sixty Five" Overdrive!
First of all, the pedal arrived on time, and in perfect cosmetic and working order!
I've always enjoyed good service, and products, from Sweetwater...new or "demo",
and this was no exception. Delivers all it promised to do, with PLENTY of volume
headroom. They often say a good pedal will sound great with the controls all at
"noon"! This is perfect testament to that saying. The only think "I" had to do,
was trim back the volume to 9 o'clock, which in the case of this particular pedal
was just a whisper above "unity gain" and perfect for my application(s). But, those
wanting a lot more volume, for whatever reason, won't be disappointed! There's plenty!
Will be doing more "experimenting" with it's capabilities, but I LOVE how it sounds
"as is"! WAY TO GO, NUX!! And, all appreciation to Sweetwater, my rep Jay Diehl,
for another outstanding purchase! Cheers!! :D
