The Best Solid Body Electric Guitar I Have Ever Owned.

I traded my American Standard Telecaster that I had modified by changing the pickups to Lace Sensor Gold and since it was already routed for a middle pickup I added one. I used a 5 way "Super Switch" so I could get "sort of" Strat tones but stop had neck/neck-bridge/bridge so I also had Tele tones as well. My Silhouette was "used" but I know the owner and he never played it so it was essentially brand new. According to the serial number it was built in 2002 and I bought it February 2003. As for the Tele? I never looked back. I plan to acquire another one with a "stick shift" but need another acoustic first. In my opinion the Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette HSH is the very be61st and most versatile electric guitar on the market. PERIOD.

Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette HSH - Starry Night

I've wanted a Silhouette for almost 30 years. I'm glad I waited. I got one of the Starry Night finish Silhouettes. It is an amazing guitar. The fit, finish, neck, fret board & hardware are fantastic. But that paint job... Pictures do not do it justice. Very sparkly, I guess that's about how to describe it. It looks "Glam"! I love it! Very versatile tones from the HSH configuration. A true keeper.

alternative for Am.StdStrat!

Everything about this guitar cries out to me. I did however try out the neck since it was a 10" radius and the neck is unfinished.(i found an axis sport near me and i knew i wanted that neck!) To me, the pick ups are powerful but not what i consider roasting which is what i wanted. I set the trem to float and still it works great. I would stress you try this type of neck if you are a strat user. Last to note is when you order be sure to check EB GUITAR OPTIONS,BRIDGE,and parts. This guitar was a joy to set up to my needs.Zach Garrison was great to work with.

Amazing Instrument

I purchased this HSH model in July and was told about a long wait given its a special order. I also ordered it in Sky Blue and not the White shown in the picture. I would call Joe James my Sweetwater Sale Rep just wondering whats the latest on the order. Waiting was not an issue for me after some Youtube videos of the Ernie Ball MM factory and the quality control/process of building one. I did play one at a dealer locally but couldn't have the financing that Sweetwater has. They get you the best gear, the most options for payment, and get it to you free & fast!! I was warned on the phone and by labels to let the guitar adjust to the room temperature since it was shipped during harsh cold winter conditions of January. After waiting the 4-8hrs (i waited 6 couldn't hold off more) I opened it up. As always well packed and well there she was. The finish and the smaller inlay dots on the neck are a nice touch. How well the Sky Blue and maple look on each other! All the knobs, switches, and tuners have a pleasing weight to turn (a personal thing for me when it comes from mixing and being around a studio). Most impressed with the neck, loving the non finished neck! Just feeling like I've played it for 10 years and worn nice. Action was perfect whether it was MM or Sweetwater team thank you so much!! Guitar is a swiss army knife of tone. Compared it other guitars I can between friends+family: Les Paul Traditional, Standard SG, American Std Tele, Std MIM Strat, and my Agile Tele Thinline copy. Nails all the things you want in Humbuckers but has that sensitive single coil for your Strat style tones. Very light which is nice compared to the LP Trad or Am Tele. Favorite PUP right now is the Hum up front and single coil. Playing out of a small orange combo because I"m in a condo. Want to see it on a tube head and/or just play louder!! Impressed with the whammy bar but not hue thing for me. Case was amazing snug fit. Also was given a sampler of Ernie Ball guitar care stuff and stickers! The quality of MM vs. others and just my preferences of scale length really separated the MM from the Fenders and Gibson I own/played from family/friends. It can do what those do and more. LOVE THE NECK!!!

Most versatile guitar

My go to guitar for the last 10 years. I have 2 one hard tail and one with trem. I can get more sounds out of this then any other guitar I own. I love the 24 fret beefy neck and the light weight of this guitar. The price can't be beat and if it's good enough for Keith Richards it's fine by me.
Music background: Pro musician for the last 30 years.
