Mackie designed the ShowBox to tackle any performance. First, it functions principally as a clear, clean acoustic guitar amplifier for busking. Meanwhile, the microphone inputs, two hi-Z instrument inputs for guitar or bass, and line-level inputs offer enough connectivity to be a portable PA for small groups and solo artists. ShowBox offers amp and PA voicings to shape your sound for either application, an outdoor mode, and feedback elimination. Furthermore, the built-in effects allow you to customize your sound with a variety of options, including Fuzz, Distortion, Reverb, Delay, and Chorus, or add your pedalboard with the FX Send and Return. Record your performance to an SD card or record and livestream straight to your smartphone with ShowBox’s built-in USB-C interface.

Getting a Mackie ShowBox up and running is extremely easy. Connect your gear to the mixer, and the Autogain feature ensures you have proper levels. Best of all, the ShowBox comes with a breakaway controller you can mount to a microphone stand. With the breakaway controller, you get hands-on control over every parameter without having to go back to the speaker and make the tweaks. The controller has various knobs for adjusting input levels, effects and EQ, compression, the looper, the onboard tuner, presets, and more.
Connects to your smartphone or computer
Nearly every performer has a smartphone, a nd the ShowBox’s onboard Bluetooth allows you to stream backing tracks or intermission music directly from the smartphone in your pocket. Want to record your upcoming gig? No problem. The ShowBox makes it happen in two ways. First, the microSD card slot offers onboard recording. Second, you can plug your computer into the USB-C port and record straight into your DAW. The USB-C port even gives you the ability to livestream your performance via a compatible streaming device.
