The Sweetwater-exclusive Egnater SW45 tube amp head was commissioned by Sweetwater's guitar buyers, and it has exceeded our expectations for tonal flexibility. After many revisions and tweaks, we came up with an amazingly versatile amplifier that's ready to serve up a wide range of iconic guitar tones. The SW45's two-input design is based on two of the most-recorded amplifiers ever. The Classic channel has all the jangle, spank, and grit of a classic Plexi head, while the Modern channel is voiced liked a hot-rodded JCM800 for ultra-aggressive tone with incredible articulation. Between the two, you'll be primed for any session or gig with the Sweetwater-exclusive Egnater SW45.

Sweetwater's guitar buyers worked closely with Bruce Egnater to make the SW45 amp head a sonic powerhouse. You've got two different channels each voiced completely differently - in fact, it's more like having two amps in one. You'll find that there's actually a separate input for each channel, due to the complexity of the design. They are not footswitchable, and an ABY switch will not work around this. These are trade-offs for even better tone, and also what makes the SW45 such an amazing-sounding, wide-ranging amp.
