In Stock!

Pure SVT Vibe in a Compact Stack!

The Ampeg SVT Micro Stack is a pint-sized amplifier/cabinet combination that's chock-full of the same classic tone that made the original SVT such a bass powerhouse. The SVT Micro Stack is perfect for recording or live sound situations where the SVT Classic is too much horsepower, but you still want the SVT sound that has been the industry standard for nearly four decades. You get the 200-watt SVT Micro-VR head driving the SVT 210AV's pair of 10" Eminence speakers. For situations where you need SVT sound without SVT volume or girth, the Ampeg SVT Micro Stack is a perfect choice.

Ampeg SVT Micro Stack 200-watt Amplifier/Cabinet Combo at a Glance:
  • Classic SVT sound
  • Surprisingly powerful low-end thump from the SVT 210AV cabinet
  • Perfect for lower volume situations
Classic SVT sound

The sound and feel of the legendary SVT is alive and well in the SVT Micro-VR head. The solid-state preamp and MOSFET power amp interact for the punch and crunch that makes the full-sized SVT the sound of bass - a title the SVT has held since 1969. Plus, its compact size makes it easier to lug from gig to gig than its bigger siblings that weigh in much heavier.

Surprisingly powerful low-end thump from the SVT 210AV cabinet

Packing a pair of 10" Eminence speakers and a usable frequency response that reaches down to 40Hz, you'll be amazed at the big sound you get from the SVT 210AV cabinet that comes with the SVT Micro Stack. The 10" speaker size gives the SVT 210AV a punchy, articulate tonality that has plenty of girth without becoming overbearing.

Perfect for lower volume situations

Sometimes your gig doesn't require the sheer amount of horsepower afforded by the 300-watt heads of the traditional SVT line. The SVT Micro Stack fits this bill beautifully, with an ample-but-not-overpowering 200 watts of power at 4 ohms. Tone shaping is provided via the ultra mid control and the 3-band EQ. A balanced line-out is available to run directly into a soundboard or recording system.

Ampeg SVT Micro Stack 200-watt Amplifier/Cabinet Combo Features:
  • Combination of the SVT Micro-VR head and SVT 210AV speaker cabinet
  • Ideal for settings that don't require lots of volume while still putting out great tone
  • 200 watts at 4 ohms
  • 3-band tone controls help you fine-tune your tone
  • Balanced line output for easy recording or sound reinforcement
  • 2 x 10" Eminence speakers have a bold, punchy sound without being boomy or overbearing
Get great tone in a small package with the Ampeg SVT Micro Stack!

I just received this amp as a Christmas gift from wife, and I'm blown away by the tone this micro puts out. I can't believe how much different my basses sound coming through this amp. This was a huge step up from the Ampeg BA series I had been using for the past three years, but it still retains the great BA features like the audio in with separate volume and the option to use headphones for silent practice. I'm not currently playing in a band, so I can't comment on whether or not this would be enough to cut through in a live setting, but it's perfect for me just playing at home. I would also like to give a huge shout out to my Sales Engineer Jake, who also recommended this amp and took the time to answer all my questions. Sweetwater is without a doubt a huge step above the other online retailers as far as quality and customer service are concerned.

Awesome little Amp

Many years ago I used a Carvin PB900 head and 4x12 cabinet while playing in a couple different bands. The sound was excellent. I sold it, went to school and a few years ago I bought another Carvin Combo Bass amp. 200 watts 1x15 plus horn. I could never get that thing to sound even close to good. Enter the Ampeg SVT 210AV Micro Stack. First, Shipping to Alaska was done in just about 24 hours. I did not pay extra for that. I was hoping for a decent sound but not expecting the greatness on my Carvin half stack from back when I was playing hours a day every day. I open the 2 boxes this little amp comes in and immediately plug everything in. I didn't change 1 control other than the volume. I was instantly blown away by the sound. Which was incredible. Right out of the box it sounded 100% better than my Carvin combo. Mess with the controls and I can get so many different sounds now it's crazy. I'm playing my American Standard Precision thru it, plugged straight into the head. DO NOT let the size of this amp fool you. It is small, It is loud enough for smaller venues. The sound / tone are insane. I can get bright tones down to some crazy good low bass and everything in between. I was expecting / hoping for something good being an Ampeg (My 1st Ampeg). The size, wattage and tone had me worried about the purchase. I am glad to say I would buy this set up again without hesitation. I would recommend this Micro Stack to anybody without hesitation. I'm considered a very, very picky person and I love everything about this Ampeg amp. Other than I didn't get one a lot sooner. If you don't like the sounds you can get from this small package, you don't like bass. You simply can not get a better sound for the money.

I bought this setup to be able to play in small clubs and venues. I used it for the first time yesterday and it more than did the job. Rich lows, clear highs, more than enough headroom and power. I have other Ampeg cabinets and this one sounds just as powerful and clear. It fits in the trunk of my Ford Focus with no problem and room to spare. I liked it so much I purchased a second SVT-210AV so I can have the extra coverage and headroom when I want it. If you need a very portable and powerful system don't hesitate to purchase this combo, you will not be disappointed.

Small Amp, Big Tone

This is a sweet little micro stack. It's got the classic Ampeg tone pretty well nailed, much closer than I thought something this size would come. Of course this doesn't sound exactly like an SVT thru a 8X10 cab, but you can't really expect it to. It does however have a lot of the same character of it's big brother, this thing sounds killer. I got this so I didn't have to carry my gigging amp (which includes an Ampeg 4X10 cab) up a flight of stairs to our practice space and it's awesome for that. I can carry the cab in one hand and the head in the other and not have a backache when I'm done. It's got plenty of volume for a full band and if you add another cab it puts out another 50 watts of output. This would also be a cool little recording amp, it's got a built in D.I. output on the back so you don't even have to take the cab if you don't want to, just go straight to the board. Every bass player needs one of these.

Great Tone for a little amp stack

I bought this knowing what it was but really want others to know that while this little head/cab together sound great, it IS NOT going to fit into a normal rock band situation. While it does push 200 watts, IF you buy another cab... you will only push 150 watts as it stands. Just for an example, my guitar player plays through a 15 watt Marshall DSL 15H head (Tube) and I can barely be heard over him. You probably could add another 2x10 and MIGHT be able to hear yourself. Do not get me wrong...this little 'Cute" rig does sound like an Ampeg should and is just awesome to sit in your bedroom for practice but DO NOT think you will be able to bring this setup to your rehearsal studio and jam with the rest of the band. Wish they would have made this in a 300 watt setup. Ampeg could easily make a 300 watt cab at 4 ohms (2x 8 ohm 10"speakers in parallel) with this AWESOME LOOK....would be usable for real life band rehearsals and a beauty to look at. Are you listening Ampeg? If you are...please keep the enclosed cab design and for god sakes do not tune port it.
