Glue your mix together with the G-Master Bus Compressor
When veteran engineers talk bus compression, you'll usually hear mention of the center compressor on the SSL 4000 G console. That's what the G-Master Bus Compressor plug-in is based on, and it captures the character of the console's IC input and twin VCA gain-reduction amplifier design. When you've got your tracks sounding right and they just need that extra bit of magic to tie them together, run them through this compressor plug-in.
Iconic channel strips modeled in detail
This bundle includes the E-Channel plug-in, based on SSL's E-Series consoles. The EQ in these consoles was developed with the help of legendary producer George Martin, and is known for its highly musical character. Next up comes the EV 2 Channel plug-in that re-creates the 4000E console's channel strip with both "Black Knob" and "Brown Knob" EQ flavors to choose from. Also included is the G-Channel, modeled after the EQ and dynamic controls on the SSL G-Series consoles. Its characteristic sound is due in part to its EQ response, which puts a slight dip in front of boosted frequencies or a slight rise in front of attenuated frequencies.
