Classic British Tone with Zero Compromise
The SL67 MkII elevates Suhr's legendary SL series of handwired guitar amplifiers, giving rise to a tried-and-true re-creation of the definitive classic British tube amp head. With four bridgeable inputs, along with three switches and an incredibly transparent Master volume control, the SL67 MkII arms you with an encyclopedic collection of British-style tones — at any volume. Moreover, this tube amplifier head retains a Variac-style circuit, equipping you with the liquid-smooth attack and sponge-like feel that's at the core of some of the greatest hard-rock tones of all time. This 50-watt, 3-channel tube amplifier comes loaded with two EL34 power tubes, three 12AX7 preamp tubes, and a Plexi-style output transformer, giving rise to a veritable treasure trove of arena-ready sonic textures. Handwired in Lake Elsinore, California, the SL67 MkII is your conduit to rock guitar's most celebrated tonal palette.

A veritable treasure trove of British-style tones
Although it's equipped with only a single channel, the SL67 MkII's four inputs deliver the complete range of British-style tones, from squeaky clean to scorched earth. The amplifier's Channel I's top input offers high sensitivity and a bright voicing, while Channel I's bottom input offers low sensitivity with a warmer tone. Channel II's top input offers high sensitivity with a standard — and decidedly more bass-heavy — sound, while Channel II's bottom input offers low sensitivity, also with a muscular-sounding low end. Moreover, just like with a vintage British-style amplifier, you can bridge or jump the SL67 MkII's input channels to expand your sonic possibilities. You also get a super-transparent Master volume control, enabling you to deliver the SL67 MkII's incredible tonal palette at any volume, as well as a Variac-style circuit that unleashes the spongy feel and smooth attack that inspired an entire generation of hard-rock guitar tones.

Fat-Cap, Mid-Boost, and 3-way Bright Switches
The Suhr SL67 MkII includes three switches that give rise to some of John Suhr's most famous tweaks. The Fat-Cap switch, based on a coveted '90s-era mod, adds extra low-end punch to your signal. That said, unlike a modded vintage model, the SL67 MkII allows you to switch the mod in and out of the circuit. You also get a Mid-Boost switch, which gooses the amp's phase inverter for added midrange. Here's a Sweetwater tip: diming the amp's controls and engaging the Mid-Boost switch will help you cut through any mix, no matter how dense. Finally, a 3-way Bright switch adds brilliance and sparkle to your playing. Shredders in search of extra clarity and presence will get lots of mileage out of the Bright switch. In essence, the SL67 MkII puts a whole host of mods at your fingertips, but you're not beholden to any of them — you can return to a true stock vintage sound with a simple flip of a switch.
Suhr: the pinnacle of craftsmanship, playability, and tone
Suhr doesn't just build handcrafted, boutique-quality instruments and amplifiers — the company creates exceptional tools that fuel musical dreams and artistic passions. John Suhr began crafting custom guitars in the mid-1970s, and by the dawn of the 1980s, he was building made-to-order Pensa-Suhr instruments for a who's who of top musicians. In the 1990s, John collaborated with celebrated rig builder Bob Bradshaw to design the now-legendary CAA 3+ and 3+SE preamps and the CAA OD-100 amplifier. In 1997, after a stint as senior master builder for Fender's Custom Shop, John founded his own company, a decision that enabled him to bring to fruition products of unrivaled quality, detail, and craftsmanship. Today, the Suhr name is synonymous with prestige; a guitar, bass, or amplifier with the Suhr marque garners instant respect. With elite players such as Mateus Asato, Reb Beach, Scott Henderson, James Norbert Ivanyi, Andre Nieri, Pete Thorn, Ian Thornley, Doug Aldrich, and Andy Wood on the company's roster, you can be certain that your Suhr places you in esteemed company.
