Reviews

over a year now using these
Remains the best string for me in over a year of use on all my Les Paul and Schecter guitars. Provides a consistent tone that is rather important when you are dealing w a mega board of option paralysis. I would love to see these Orbiters in a semi-flat version to see if that might be even better for me. Still, all in all, being a guitarist for eons, having used just about every sort of string made: these Stringjoy Orbiters (9.5-46) are just the best of all possible gauges, tones, feel, and longevity. Haven't seen anything as good much less better.
New Favorite Strings!
I'm always looking for a strong, great tone, full sounding string with chime and presence without the ice pick. These are exceptional in every way. Although a coated string, they do not feel or behave like it. Not slippery coated feeling, and no muted mids like some have. Tried these on my PRS Custom 24-8 and best playing and sounding I've used. Ordering for all my other guitars. Highly recommend!

been trying these out, best for me so far
I started developing a Nickel allergy thing using my semiflat wound nickels I have loved over the years. I've used other coated strings before some good some bad. These Stringjoy Orbiter Coated 9.5s I think are a little smoother to my taste like my semi flats but still the punch of round wound, also less fret wear I would have to presume. How long they last, I really am not sure as the ones I put on are still working well and sounding fine. Also my finger pain eased when shifting from Nickel also some of my guitars have stainless frets which is also better for me. But, these strings, certainly some of the best I have used, not being able to name one that is better.

Conflicted
I bought these because they were the only other option in this particular string gauge and I was curious what expensive coated strings were like. At first they felt really strange and rubbery in a way I didn't like. I got used to it after a while and kept playing them. Probably two months in a broke the 9.5 e string :/ Admittedly I was playing hard, and I have broken the e on the Turbo Slinkys( the only other with similar gauge ) but only after a loner period of time. So I bought a set of the Turbos and put them on. They felt incredibly harsh! Like playing a whole gauge step up! I immediately orders these again. But now I've more or less gotten used to the slinkys again lol. So now I have the new pack of these and I'm not sure what to do. Mix the two!?!ha I'll probably almost try to break the e on the slinkys to test the difference. Not a bad buy no matter what. Worth trying!
Terrible
Really hoped I'd like these, as I find 9.5s a perfect gauge but alas, these do not measure up. I bought into the mareketing I guess but they failed to deliver. First thing I noticed is the sloppy and very untidy winds around the ball-ends. Then they went completely dead and were corroded in a couple months of light play. No better than non coated strings. Meanwhile my Elixirs and D'addario XS sets are happily giving me 6 months easily.
