Have been buying and playing for 40 yrs. Best bargain in those years. Thank you Sweetwater!

PRS Rocks

My experience with the PRS brand has been outstanding. My new SE Standard in tobacco burst is beautiful. The neck is thin and fast, the mahogany body sustains for days, and the humbuckers with coil-tap get me tones for blues, jazz, rock, and metal. The service at Sweetwater was great, and when planning another instrument or gear purchase it will be from Sweetwater. May even drive to Fort Wayne, IN to see the store and test drive some axes and gear as well.

PRS SE Standard 24, what a bargin!!

I was looking at an Epiphone Spotlight at a local pawn shop, price tag $500 with it's original case, not bad but not new either. Then I was looking online and seen the PRS SE Standard 24 going for $499 with free shipping, which kind of got me to thinking do I want another used guitar that is a copy of a PRS or a real PRS (OK, made overseas but to PRS standards). Well I decided to get the PRS, and man am I glad I did!First thing that greeted me was the included gig-bag, which is of most excellent quality. Then I slide out my new pride and joy and it's like "WOW, did they send me the wrong guitar?", then I look it over. Man, this thing is sweet, intonation was perfect straight out of the box, The action, while I like it a bit closer, is still super fast. So nice that I may not even bother changing it. Then there is the tremolo, man my Strat ain't even this sweet, this is by far the smoothest tremolo bridge I have have to honor of using on a guitar of this price range. Man, I mean it is like butter under your fingers, and maybe it's just this guitar but it just seems to want to go back in tune when you let go of the trem arm. The pickups sounds amazing, and with coil split on offer to boot. I mean you basically get 6 different tones from the guitar alone, which is just sweet. Oh, and that solid Mahogany Body and Neck with the Rosewood fretboard, give this guitar one sweetly warm voice that the pickups do justice to. Then the is the overall build quality, which is just as gorgeous as the finish. Everything just looks and feels like perfection was striven for. Really, I must say that for the price, I am blown away.If your looking for a budget guitar, then you really should take a look at these. You would be doing yourself an injustice if you didn't at least check them out. This is an extremely nice guitar for the money, it feels, plays and acts like it should cost about twice as much. Matter of fact, I have played Les Pauls and Strats and Tele's that did cost twice what this guitar costs, and straight away I like this guitar better than most of them that I have or remember. This PRS SE Standard 24 is mine, and I advise you to go get you own, cause I ain't sharing mine. Seriously, this guitar has to be one of the best deals going right now, period.

Very nice!

Apart from needing a setup, the Standard 24 plays and sounds great!
