Before we even get into the actual delay effects in the SDD-3000, it's worth noting that many guitarists love it just for its instrument preamp. There's a definite sense of presence and character when you plug into the SDD-3000, whether you're using a guitar or a synthesizer. If for some reason you don't want your tone colored, though, you can switch the SDD-3000 to true bypass operation so that your tone isn't touched when the effect is off.
Sonic control to sculpt your ideal effectFrom modeled analog delay to pitch-shifted and reverberant effects, the Korg SDD-3000 stereo delay is your one-stop delay shop. You can also dial in a wide range of chorus, flanger, and tremolo effects. You can even create stereo multi-tap delay effects with the L/C/R mode. One of our favorite modes at Sweetwater is the ducking mode, which only brings up the delay effect when you're playing softly. Once you have your delay type dialed in, use the lowpass and highpass filters to fine-tune your delay sound.
Many ways to choose your delay timeThe SDD-3000 stereo delay sports a tap tempo footswitch so you can tap in your delay time as you're playing, but that's not the only way. You've got a manual control for delay time, offering you a wide range from 1ms to 4,000ms. Or you can sync the SDD-3000 to your keyboard or sequencer via MIDI. Best of all, you can also use the Sync mode to set the delay time in terms of 11 different note values, from wholes notes to 32nd notes.
