SuperAnalogue Mic Pres for Your Dante Network
The Solid State Logic SB 8.8 Network I/O stagebox enables you to add eight top-flight SuperAnalogue mic preamps to your Dante IP audio network. This 2U rackmountable unit performs equally well in broadcast, live sound, and recording applications, allowing easy deployment of mic preamps and speaker feeds wherever you need them. In addition to redundant RJ45 Dante network connections, this plug-and-play stagebox also includes a pair of network extension connections, GP I/O connectivity, and redundant PSUs. A built-in limiter and SSL's innovative AutoPad system ensure optimal gain settings, and an Audition feature makes preshow mic checks a piece of cake. Front-panel signal present, phantom power, and local attention LEDs provide at-a-glance confirmation of your settings. To top it off, the SSL SB 8.8 is remote controllable via System T broadcast consoles and control interfaces, SSL Live consoles, and the SSL Remote Stagebox application.

SSL's revolutionary AutoPad system further augments the limiter, automatically applying a pad according to your gain setting. AutoPad is applied if your gain setting is at a low value that requires a pad to make the entire possible mic gain range available. You also get an Audition feature that provides you with automatic gain reduction when checking mic levels, which significantly simplifies preshow mic checks.
