Mega-versatile Amp!

Here's a versatile amp that delivers full-on tube tone! The Blackstar Series One 45 can go from ultra-clean to crushingly crunchy, giving you a ton of hands-on control to dial in the perfect sound. In fact, when you toggle between the bright and warm modes on the clean channel, the Series One 45 actually reconfigures its preamp voicing and power amp damping, giving you bright and ringing Class A performance or that warm and crunchy Class AB sound.

You've also got crunch and super crunch modes to choose from on the Series One 45. In crunch mode, you can go from just on the edge of clean breakup to totally thick, modern rhythm tones. In super crunch mode, the stops are out for maximum all-out crunch. You'll also appreciate the attention Blackstar paid to keeping your top end intact when you do launch into your overdrive sounds.

Looking for even more tonal flexibility? Blackstar also gave the Series One 45 their exclusive ISF control (ISF stands for Infinite Shape Feature). Using it in conjunction with your bass, middle, and treble controls, you can nail the exact tonal signature you want. When turned fully counterclockwise, you'll have more of an American characteristic to your voice, with a tight bottom end and aggressive middle. Turned all the way to the right, you'll enjoy more of a British vibe, with a woodier sound that's less aggressive. However you dial in the Series One 45, you'll enjoy a musical response that just asks to be taken onstage or into the studio.

If you're a plug and play sort of guitarist, you'll be right at home in front of the Series One 45. But if you've got a mind for the high-tech, you'll dig this mighty little combo, too. The Blackstar Series One 45 supports MIDI channel switching, allowing you to simultaneously select an amp channel and change the patch on a MIDI effects processor you have connected to the effects loop. Very nice. It supports 128 program changes, so you can access a wide range of tonal combinations.

Last but not least, the Blackstar Series One 45 has a convenient DPR (Dynamic Power Reduction) control. Grab the DPR and adjust the output power of the amp from 45 watts (100%) all the way down to 4.5 watts (10%) of the rated power. The control even adjusts the power amp compression, giving you a more playable feel when you're enjoying the comfortable listening levels of the reduced power settings.

Blackstar Series One 45 Features at a Glance:
  • 45-watt, 2 x 12" combo with built-in DPR power reduction
  • 1 x ECC82, 3 x ECC83, and 2 x EL34 valves

ONE GREAT AMP!

This amp now my workhorse. All tube power, which you can set from 4.5 watts to 45 watts. Vintage 30'sa sound fantastic. The warm clean is fantastic and the hi gain channels produced the best rock sound I ever played. I rarely lug around my half stacks anymore I just put some wheels on this baby and rock everywhere I go. YOU WILL LOVE THIS AMP!

The Last Amp i'll Ever Need.

To start off, I've been playing for 11 years, the amps I owned before settling on this one were an H&K Tubemiester, Carvin V3m, and Egnater Vengeance. I wasn't really a big fan of any of those, and one day I got this guy. This was the end game for me, it has lush cleans, an extremely versatile gain channel, and the power attenuation is just a bonus. I play a lot of death metal and deathcore, as well as doom and hard rock. This amp does all of it extremely well. My favorite thing about it is how dynamic it is, each one of my guitars really comes alive and shows it's unique tonal qualities though this amp and to me that is extremely important.

Very Articulate

This blows away the amps in this price range. Super articulate, punchy yet crisp cleans, and mack-daddy distortion. It is very versatile. The ISF control isn't cheesy, it is GREAT! Unbelievable how many sounds you can get out of this guy. This is the kinda amp you buy and keep for 10+ years.

Tone mechine

This is probably one of the best amps I have every played on. This has the nicest blues tone on the "warm" setting. It can keep up with mesa boogie amp on the blues and has a huge Marshall British crunch on the distortion settings. It really is a great amp and so versatile. For the price it can't be beat.
