One Pedal, Three Vintage Circuits
The Analog Alien Rumble Seat integrates three vintage-voiced circuits into a single enclosure, each with dedicated switching and its own set of controls. Its Rumble Drive section is 100-percent analog, delivering a classic British flavor that ranges from clean output boost to thick saturation as the Gain increases. Behind it sits the Delay, spanning 25ms–650ms, wide enough for a tight rockabilly slap or a long trailing echo, with a Repeats control that extends all the way to self-oscillation. The Reverb keeps things simple with a single knob, supplying the spring-style sound of a vintage tube amp with a touch of chorus modulation riding underneath. Run one, two, or all three circuits at once, and true bypass leaves your signal alone the moment you switch them off. The Rumble Seat delivers drive, verb, and delay in a single enclosure, freeing up board space that three separate pedals would otherwise occupy.

Clean boost, full saturation, and every state between
Sweetwater’s guitar techs point players toward the Rumble Seat when they need a versatile drive that can fatten up their tone without bloating an already crowded board. At the lowest Gain setting, the circuit produces almost no dirt, leaving you with a switchable clean boost and a Tone control sensitive enough to serve as a master EQ. Bring the Gain up, and it breaks up smoothly, preserving your pick dynamics instead of compressing them flat. Past 2 o’clock, it stops adding gain and starts adding harmonics, thickening the tone without turning it brittle. Fully analog from input to output, the Rumble Drive retains its definition and bite at every point on the dial. Layer in the other effects, and you can easily dial in some of the most iconic rock, surf, and rockabilly-style gain tones.

From slapback echo to vintage spring reverberation
Complete with dedicated controls and switches, the Rumble Seat’s Delay and Reverb sections never feel like a roadside attraction. Much like the Drive, each is modeled after vintage circuits for vintage character. The Delay section features times that run from 25ms to 650ms, spanning the short, percussive slap that defines rockabilly to long, spacious trails. Repeats range from a single distinct echo to a runaway swell, and the Mix control determines how much of that wet signal reaches your amp, from fully dry to nothing but the repeats. Also, the Rumble Seat Delay channel keeps your low end intact, unlike some delay circuits that tend to thin it out.
Packed with its own vintage character, the Reverb section needs only a single knob to achieve its classic tube-amp spring reverb. A/B’d against four vintage amps at Analog Alien’s own studio, the character of the Rumble Seat Reverb captures the warmth of those beloved early designs. Both time-based circuits pair a digital clock with analog input and output stages, ensuring they behave as the vintage designs that inspired them.
