The Most Versatile Rockerverb Yet in Black!

In the early 2000s, a new era of high-gain Orange Amplification tone was ushered in with the Rockerverb series of electric guitar amplifiers. The all-tube Rockerverb 100 MKIII is the culmination of over a decade of fine-tuned adjustments to that game-changing amplifier. The MKIII offers a newly-voiced clean channel for a more versatile chimey tone and a dirty channel that will take you anywhere from classic British crunch to the very heaviest in modern metal. Add in power-scaling and footswitchable attenuation and there's nowhere the Rockerverb 100 MKIII can't take you.

Orange Rockerverb 100 MKIII Amplifier Head at a Glance:
  • Revoiced dual-channel design for maximum versatility
  • Dynamic control with power-scaling and footswitchable attenuation
  • 100% tube-driven including spring reverb and the effects loop
Revoiced dual-channel design for maximum versatility

While the Rockerverb guitar amplifiers have been a staple in many guitarist's rigs for years, the MKIII design ups the ante with revoiced channels to get even more versatility, clarity, and headroom. The clean channel now features a dual-band EQ and higher headroom while maintaining the vintage character of it's non-master volume design. The dirty channel is engineered to bring the filth. It starts you in crunchy rock 'n' roll territory and throttling you deep into modern high-gain grind.

Dynamic control with power-scaling and footswitchable attenuation

In a world of high-tech PA systems, digital modeling, and low-wattage lunchbox style amps, sometimes us guitarists can't get away with a screaming 100-watt tube behemoth behind us - not on the stage and not in the studio. Now you don't have to give up the feel and tone only offered by those muscular amplifiers with the Rockerverb 100 MKIII. With onboard power scaling at 30, 50, 70, and 100 watts, you can get those power tubes cooking at volumes that tailor to your situation. And the footswitchable and variable attenuator on the front of the amp can get you those cranked tones at bedroom-level volumes!

100% tube-driven including spring reverb and the effects loop

Nothing sounds like a tube amp... nothing. Orange knows that, which is why the Rockerverb 100 MKIII is a 100% tube design. The tubes aren't only in the pre and power sections, either. The onboard lush-sounding spring reverb and buffered effects loop have both been dialed in to give you a more clear, organic, and usable tone - all with the power of 12AT7 tubes. While there are a lot of great-sounding options out there to take you out of the tube world, just remember: nothing sounds like a tube amp... nothing.

Orange Rockerverb 100 MKIII Amplifier Head Features:
  • 2-channel, 100-watt high-gain electric guitar amplifier
  • Revoiced channels go from chimey to grinding
  • Selectable 30-, 50-, 70-, or 100-watt performance
  • Footswitchable attenuation for dynamic control
  • Tube spring reverb offers airy to full-on surf
  • Buffered tube-driven effects loop
  • 12AX7 preamp tubes and EL34 power tubes
Go from chimey to grinding and a whisper to a scream with the Rockerverb 100 MKIII!

Reviews

Holds it own against some of the best!

I've owned this amp for over a year or so now and every single time I plug into it I'm impressed. This amp doesn't have a ton of features or modern appointments but it's rock solid and has a crushing high gain tone. I tend to gravitate towards amps that have big iron and that translates to big tone, this RockerVerb 100 weighs in just over 50lbs. That yields high headroom, clarity and girth! Clean tones are authoritative and clear while the dirty channel is in your face British style with the Orange DNA. I've owned upwards of 100 tube amps ranging from $ plus and the RockerVerb is underrated for what it does but if you dial the amp in with your ears through a quality 4x12 it's gonna hit above its weight class all day everyday.

Everything you’d expect from a high end amp
This amp does not disappoint, I hate using the term versatile bc it make it sound like it does a lot, but nothing well. But actually does great cleans and gear super gritty like you want from an orange. The power options are fantastic. I can't get enough of how well this thing sounds.
Shockerverb!
This amp is heavy as hell but the sound it produces is oh so sweet! From liquidy cleans to smooth overdrive to raunch. Takes pedals well and sounds amazing! Cannot believe I waited so long to try one

Rockerverb 100 mkiii
Loving this amp.The distortion channel on the Rockerverb mkiii is awesome. I'm in a metal/hard rock group and this is great live and in a mix. Build quality is outstanding, it is super heavy like an ampeg Svt classic massive transformers. I really like the attenuator feature you can get good tones at lower volumes which my Marshall's won't do. I've read reviews on this that stated the clean channel sounds like a fender. This is not true it's got it own thing. I'm not a huge fan of the cleans on this amp, it's kinda dull sounding to me, but takes pedals well and is usable. I bought this for metal tones and it did not disappoint, great amp.
Stage to bedroom! Long term review.
I've had this head now for 2 years.
Band practice
Home quiet practice
On stage.
It shines in every instance.
The built in attenuator power scaler means this amp can go from whisper quiet to arena loud and never sound bad, or more Importantly, lose feel.
Doesn't matter how low volume I have it, it always feels great.
Open it up, and it just goes and goes and goes.
Pro tip: put a graphic EQ in the effects loop and it REALLY wakes up the tone and musical voice of this amp.
Effects loop is killer, attenuator is killer, reverb is killer.
Gain for days, and it's all playable.
The speakers and cab you use will really dictate the feel and response.
For low volume stuff, I use a 60 watt 2x12. The lower power handling keeps it crisp and lively at low to moderate volumes.
When I want to really crank it, I use a Mesa boogie 4x12 and it hits like a 100 watt hammer.
Cons:
It's heavy as hell. But, get strong.
The clean channel is naturally EQed to be bass heavy, so EQ with your ears and not your eyes. I get an amazing clean, but I have the bass at 7 o'clock and the treble one click from maxed out. It's still warm, but is very clear and doesn't get too fuzzy with pedals thrown in.
Music background: Life long addict. Incurable.
