Best Bang for the Buck

For near field monitors you would be hard pressed to find anything that sounds even close to as good as these do for the price. I have owned mine for over 5 years. They are the previous issue, but the only difference is the color of the woofer and the plastic surround, everything else is exactly the same. The have astonishingly good bass and articulate yet un-fatiguing high end. The tweeters they use are a neodymium 1.25" silk dome tweeter from Vifa. The tweeters also have a radial finned heat sink with self resting circuit breaker. Not sure where the woofers came from, but they sound great for a speaker in this price range, they could easily go up against speakers that are twice the price. They also have very usable controls and good hookup options. They are a no loose choice.

Excellent budget monitor

Great clarity and good low end for the price. Compared to other 8" monitors at Guitar Center this is a solid contender. The low end is solid, not boomy or colored in any way. Just as it should be. However, if like me you produce occassionally bass-heavy music, you may want to integrate a small sub into the studio for accurate reproduction. The high end frequency adjustment is a nice touch, and I actually set it +1 to give the monitors that extra (IMO needed) crispness.

Hard to beat

Heard some sound comparisons with these and Yamaha hs8, the Krk, and presonus eris. These are going to be tough beat for the money. They are a bit bulkier than the others but they look beautiful and sound fantastic. they are more similar to the yamahas than the others. I might have to snag a pair. The presonus have a warm sound that is nice too. Would be great to have both for different applications.

Cool Best Sound By Money

I dont belive in really good sounding monitors at this price and this company (Samson) because are not so popular in latin america, but must to say they are great monitors for the price, Good balanced in every frecuency range, bass is cool and controlled, im in very small room but thanks to the bass port wich is in front there arent any problem with bass response.Im working with another monitors that worth so much and obviously sound more defined but ResolvSe are perfect for other kind of reference "Club full range".At first time they sound a bit harsh in twiter and muddy in woofer. But need some the time of running and the real sound appears i have mine 3 weeks ago and can be sure of that.I recommend it for anybody who wants a good pair of monitors that is sweet to hear but clear anyway. The mids are a bit scooped in comparision with others but this isnt bad, simply different. for reference i have now three pairs of monitors (Yamaha Hs50m, Msp7 and SamsonSe8) each one complements with other and now i'm really happy.
