A Dedicated Keyboard for the Professional Editor

Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard is a professional video editor’s dream keyboard, boasting an impressive assortment of intuitive features to streamline your editing workflow. This full-size keyboard replaces the standard mouse/keyboard workflow, with a machined metal search dial providing a tactile feel and enhanced precision that no mouse could hope to approach. Next, the key bed is loaded with a host of key-per-function controls that allow you to perform just about every DaVinci Resolve Studio task without diving into menus or picking up a mouse. Beyond that, the DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard sports a professional-level construction from head to toe, including a rugged all-metal design, key switches rated for over 1 million presses, and a variety of comfort-minded features to minimize hand strain. Whether you’re an aspiring editor looking to up their game or a full-fledged master, the Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard represents the epitome of video editing keyboard performance and functionality.

Rubber-coated metal search dial

Looking to ditch the mouse for a more hands-on editing experience? Each keyboard in the DaVinci Resolve series comes equipped with a search dial that offers enhanced accuracy and a tactile response when editing, trimming, scrolling through clips, and more. Sweetwater’s professional video editors found it difficult to switch back to a mouse after experiencing the search dial’s rubber-coated machined metal design — the exceptional physical control offered by the search dial simply makes traditional mouse editing feel clunky in comparison. Apart from its enhanced feel, the search dial allows for even the most precise adjustments to be made with extreme accuracy.

Robust all-metal construction

From top to bottom, DaVinci Resolve keyboards boast an all-metal design that’s built to withstand countless hours of editing. Even the keys are of the highest quality, with switches certified for over 1 million functions. Plus, just about every inch of DaVinci Resolve series keyboards is fine-tuned to provide a comfortable feel — the key bed features a tiered profile to reduce hand strain, while the soft built-in hand rest is a must-have to prevent fatigue during marathon editing sessions.

Intuitive layout and dedicated per-key functions

DaVinci Resolve keyboards are envisaged from the ground up to enhance your editing experience when using DaVinci Resolve Studio, so it comes as no surprise that this keyboard is loaded with a vast assortment of controls to streamline your editing experience. Transport controls, Source Tape, dedicated In/Out keys, keyboard edit modes, trim functions, edit controls: the DaVinci Resolve series of keyboards all but eliminates endless menu diving, replacing it with a far more intuitive key-per-function layout. What’s more, these controls combined with the search dial allow many tasks to be completed without your hands ever leaving the keyboard — no mouse required!

Fit for the desktop or the console

The DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard is outfitted with sleek, modern aesthetics to fit right into a variety of settings — from the desktop editor to professional-level office settings. A tilt mechanism allows users to adjust for comfort and proper hand positioning, while the flange allows for full integration into a cutout desk or console for permanent installation. Beyond that, the key bed is designed to remain familiar enough to standard QWERTY keyboard users to manage all standard keyboard functions outside of editing applications.

Reviews

Awesome!
I'm fairly new to Resolve so, I thought I'd get a head start with this, Kinda learn with the keyboard. I think it's amazing! I can't really say if it would make me faster but, it sure is fun, it kinda brings Resolve to life. I was super excited to find out that the scrub wheel works in Fairlight as well, cool bonus if you're an audio editor like me.
It's built like a tank! All metal shell, clicky keys but, solid. It's just awesome! If you can afford it, get it! Feels like it's gonna be with me for years!! Oh, it comes with Resolve studio as well so, yay!!
Music background: Radio imaging producer
Almost Perfect
Love the layout and solid construction. I do not mind the keys at all. They are loud and solid and meant to last a million clicks. Wish the ABC lettering was bigger for when not using Resolve. Would pay more if it was lighted. In a darker editing room I need to use a small lamp above it to see the keys.

Bigger letters and lighted keys would make it 5 stars. The clicky keys on the fence about. Overall I love it.
Everything but the keyboard.
Ironically, I really love everything on the DaVinci Keyboard Editor BUT the keyboard.

I SO wanted to love this machine and use it on all my projects but alas, I don't feel it speeds up my workflow. I really love the jog wheel; it feels solid and it's very responsive. You can feel the quality. That goes for the entire thing. It's built like a tank. But the keys are just too small, they are very "bouncy" and super loud. If these things don't bother you, then I'd say go for it. But for me, they were deal breakers.

I appreciate what DaVinci is offering in this accessory. It's a very high quality piece and it's very well-thought-out. But in the end, it just has that detrimental flaw.
