Best of the Best
I've heard many cabinets over the years, and the range of sound quality does vary significantly, but this Mesa 4x12 standard rectifier cabinet sounds the best at all volume levels (i.e., with or without attenuation). I play my strat, tele, Les Paul, Eclipse, and a few others through it, as well as a my Boss ME-90. For my wife's sanity upstairs I eventually (a few moments later…) connect my Two-Notes Torpedo Capture X (does the trick) and every single one of these adjustments sound amazing and unique. I know my comments are subjective, so all I can say is if you want to test my words then go try one for yourself; you may or may not have the same impression, but it will leave an impression nonetheless.

Music background: I’ve been playing guitar since 1994. I’ve picked up learning other instruments over the years. Most of my playing is at home nowadays, but after my kids leave for college I hope to get back out into playing in the public again, or at least with friends.

Exactly what I had hoped for!
This Mesa oversized 4x12 lives up to the hype and beyond. I've played through many high end cabs and nothing comes close to this one. I play detuned metal and this does it amazingly. You can't go wrong with this choice.
