Two MIDI-controllable Fender Strats with Assignable Articulations and Amp Modeling

MusicLab RealStrat 5 brings the authentic tones of two meticulously sampled Fender Stratocasters and a host of modern music production and arrangement tools under one roof. In addition to the timeless sounds and full backwards compatibility of the Standard RealStrat pack, you also the get RealStrat's Elite pack, which nets you seven 24-bit real-time pickup configurations with double-track, 12-string, and baritone-tuning options for each voicing. And since RealStrat 5 replicates the clean sound of a DI’d Strat, rather than recorded amp tones, it’s virtually future proof. Just pair it with your favorite amp simulator. RealStrat 5 also brings you an enhanced GUI and the all-new Multi Performance Mode for humanizing guitar work with hammer-ons, slaps, pull-offs, scratches, and slide emulation all from the same pane. It also comes with 1,250 rhythm guitar parts to impact a wide range of musical styles. Other great features include a drag-and-drop Song Mode for building backing tracks on the fly, Chord Selector to quickly flesh out existing arrangements, and a 9-parameter Humanize engine to customize pick position and tremolo work.

Master guitar rock without mastering the guitar

If you’re like Sweetwater composers, you have hard drives full of virtual instrument libraries. But for rock, country, metal, and surf music, nothing beats a real Fender Strat through a tube amp. MusicLab’s RealStrat 5 is your ticket to the rock sound you’ve been dreaming of — without the time and cost of learning a new instrument. This innovative virtual instrument uses guitar samples and special Floating Fret Position technology to achieve realistic tones and articulations. As you play notes on your MIDI controller, RealStrat 5 responds to them intelligently, adjusting chord shapes the way a guitarist would move around the neck.

Sounds like a real Fender Strat, because it is

MusicLab recorded every sample in RealStrat 5 using two genuine-article Fender Stratocasters. They then used special multi-channel layering technology to create a custom library of samples taken from every fret on all six strings.

Perform with expressive guitar techniques

RealStrat 5’s Guitar Touch technology lets you use your MIDI controller’s pitch-bend wheel, modulation wheel, sustain pedal, aftertouch, and assignable keys to tap into guitar-specific techniques. Perform strumming, plucking, sliding, bending, and muting styles just as a real guitarist would.

Build guitar-centric rhythms with Pattern Manager

Using RealStrat 5’s built-in Pattern Manager feature, you have instant access to a wide range of natural rhythms and strumming patterns: 1,250 in total. Patterns cover a number of musical styles and give you great jumping-off points for crafting your parts. When RealStrat 5 is used as a plug-in, the Pattern Manager will sync to the tempo of your DAW.

Packed with more songwriting features

Whether you’re looking to swap out MIDI tracks with real electric guitar tones or stretch your songwriting muscles, RealStrat 5 has you covered. Song Mode captures the soul of rock ’n’ roll by letting you build tracks just as a guitar player would. Chord Selector provides a compendium of key-specific chords to help you find the right texture for your verses, choruses, and bridges.

Reviews

Very Good
Realstrat5 is very good and realistic. You can connect it to software amps and it sounds just like a real guitar.
Real challenge
Real strat is ok,challenging enough to keep me working with it, but not to hard to make me give up on it.Had problems with the sound ,but called sweatwater and got it fixed.looking forward to using the software with a keyboard.
not the real thing, but close...
A fun user friendly VST that has a fairly realistic strat sound. If used with the right amp plug-ins it can blend well in the mix or live. PS... Practice the nuance's get a more accurate strat rendition. Overall, for the price it works!

Good but...
I'm a keyboard player and MusicLab RealStrat 3 does allow me to play a "convincing" guitar on my recordings, but I have to give much more credit to AmpleSound for making a way better virtual guitar for less money. Just my humble opinion.
