A Creative Tool For Adding Dynamic Changes To Your Sounds
If you dig Rob Papan virtual instruments the way we do at Sweetwater, you probably know how the XY-panel works to add changes in dynamics to your sounds. Now with XY-Transfer, you can use the XY-panel on its own, or in combination with a broad range of effects. XY-Transfer gives you a filter bank with 36 filter types and an XY-panel matrix that can be recorded and played back in several different ways. You can use the panel in combination with two other effects, which also have their own XY-pad plus a versatile stereo delay.

Imagine the possibilities
Unfortunately, no one can be told what XY-Transfer is. You’ll have to see it for yourself. But imagine, if you will, using a Lo-Fi effect combined with a Comb Filter and an analog modeled filter — each having its own XY pad and topped off with Stereo Delay. What’s more, each Block that holds one of the FX, also has its own XY field, which allows for very complex combinations that can, in exponential fashion, produce outrageous sonic results.
A unique approach to applying FX
XY-Transfer gives you unique access to five available Block effects: Filter Bank, Comb Filter, Shaper, Room, and Gater. Within the Blocks, the 36 filter types can be freely combined, and Stereo Delay added. Admittedly, this is a unique approach to applying effects, but then again, we expect nothing less from Rob Papen. As you will see, XY-Transfer is a very creative tool for adding dynamic changes to your sounds.
