Supercharged Subtractive Synthesizer from Rob Papen
Renowned virtual synth designer Rob Papen puts a new spin on classic subtractive synthesis with the Rob Papen Quad. Previously available as a rack extension in Reason, Quad is now a standalone plug-in primed for use in your favorite DAW. Quad includes all the essential elements of a killer subtractive synthesizer, including two fat-sounding oscillators, a sub-oscillator, two multimode filters, amp and filter envelope generators, and two LFOS, but this is anything but your standard synth! Unlike other synths, Quad offers unique routing options for its two filters, which can be run in serial, parallel, or independently assigned to the two oscillators. Moreover, the filters can be panned for seriously wild stereo effects. Additionally, Quad includes a modulation matrix with eight slots for assigning numerous modulation sources to a huge range of destinations, making the Quad infinitely tweakable. Finally, Quad includes a 16-step arpeggiator with per-step velocity control, swing control, and selectable play modes.
