The Sony RM-IP500 PTZ camera remote controller offers intuitive, ergonomic pan, tilt, and zoom control for up to 100 compatible Sony BRC, SRG series, and ILME-FR7 cameras over IP. It streamlines setup and operation for cost-effective, multi-camera systems, making it an ideal controller for live events, broadcast studios, conference halls, educational settings, and houses of worship. This compact unit is equipped with a joystick that enables effortless one-handed pan, tilt, and zoom adjustments, while a supplementary rocker lever provides an alternative method of zoom control. In addition, the unit features dedicated control knobs and buttons for direct access to frequently utilized camera functions, plus a built-in numeric keypad for switching control between cameras.

Depending on camera specifications and firmware version, you can store up to 100 camera angles and settings presets, while the Trace Memory feature allows a sequence of camera moves to be stored and recalled. The RM-IP500 also offers camera “paint” functionality, which let you adjust settings (including white balance, black levels, detail level, auto-exposure level, flicker cancel, knee point, iris, gain, and shutter speed) of each camera on the network — all without having to address the individual cameras’ menus. Users at Sweetwater find the RM-IP500 remarkably effortless to set up, with the controller automatically assigning IP addresses and camera numbers to all connected Sony PTZ cameras on the network. The RM-IP500 partners perfectly with Sony’s MCX-500 multi-camera live producer, giving you a complete IP streaming and SD recording solution for various content production scenarios.
